Discuss Season Three of Sherlock here. (Threads for individual episodes can be made when, you know, it comes out)

Carly | 1 comments I found out the date for season 3!!! I'm pretty sure the season 3 premier will be on January 19th on PBS in 2014!!!!

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

That's what I heard too!!! Finally the waiting has an end in sight! WOOHOO!!!

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Unless they move it back again.

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Alas! That would be a sad day if they extend the date again!! I do hope that won't happen, but being that this is the first official date we have been given, I am quite excited about it. :)

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

If they extend the date again I'm going to go ballistic.

Marie O'leary | 7 comments The Empty Hearse, the first episode of the much-anticipated third series, is set to be screened at London's BFI on 15 December at 1:00pm.

And as if seeing the episode before everyone else wasn't exciting enough, attendees will also be treated to a Q and A with members of the cast, who could include Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Amanda Abbington, Louise Brealey, Mark Gatiss, Rupert Graves and Una Stubbs.
The Sherlock series three UK air date has yet to be announced. (RadioTimes)

The fandom is getting restless...

Doctor Who Fan I♥♥DW | 389 comments OH MY GODS!!!!! They're taking the hobbits to isenguard, to Isenguard, to Isenguard. They're taking the hobbits to Isenguard, and I can't remember the rest of the song.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) | 1584 comments Yup.

Yup...Those tea leaves couldn't be more accurate.

Arhghghtghyhg! It's called....His Last Vow? Is it-Vow to Irene Adler? Who's last vow? Watson's? Sherlock's?
*falls off chair*

yojharobed || I have no sword. I don't need a sword. Because I am the Doctor and this is my spoon. En garde! (yojharobed) | 502 comments I'm pretty sure it's Watson. And Moffat is writing it, so it's DEFINITELY going to be a horrible end.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) | 1584 comments *mutters discontentedly* Sadistic producers, grrrr.

Yeah. The one thing about Sherlock endings is that they will not be fun, and they'll have twenty minutes of unrestrained suspense.

I cracked up when reading this. It is both darkly humorous and terribly horrifying.

btw I am pretty sure His Last Vow is based off of the story His Last Bow. Of course, for anyone who has not read the originals yet like me it is not much of a help

yojharobed || I have no sword. I don't need a sword. Because I am the Doctor and this is my spoon. En garde! (yojharobed) | 502 comments XD yeah :)

Yeah, I've heard that too. I've read some of the originals, but not all of them...guess I need to...lol

message 21: by Anna (new)

Anna M. Watson | 98 comments You know, everyone always hates on Moffat because he makes crazy cliffhangers and kills off great characters and does terrible things to characters and puts them in horrible situations... *takes deep breath* okay, that's pretty bad. But if he didn't do all those things, would the shows he writes be half as good? I think not. It's the ones that entangle your emotions that really stick with you. Like Sherlock. :) :) :) SO EXCITED!

message 22: by [deleted user] (last edited Nov 20, 2013 06:36PM) (new)

*nods* We only hate Moffat because he writes stories we actually like. If his stories were terrible, nobody would watch them and not one would care what he does to the characters.

yojharobed || I have no sword. I don't need a sword. Because I am the Doctor and this is my spoon. En garde! (yojharobed) | 502 comments That's totally true, Anna. I think the random just likes having someone to vent their emotions on...

message 24: by L.Y. (new)

L.Y. Levand (lylevand) | 1907 comments He'd better have a good explanation for the end of season two. That's all I have to say. The conclusion of the third is going to be frustrating, but I think I can handle it as long as he resolves something.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

I feel pretty confident that season 2 will be explained reasonably well. If he does another horrible cliffhanger, and we have to wait years again.....
I am pretty sure my frustration will only be abated for the first two episodes of season 3. Once I see the last one, it will be right back to 'kill Moffat' level again.
Though I would not really want to kill him. If the fandom did that, they would never find out what happens!!! thought it would stop him from killing off anymore characters...

message 27: by L.Y. (new)

L.Y. Levand (lylevand) | 1907 comments xD Ahahaha! That's an awesome pic, Rebecca. I agree, though. Frustration with the end of a season is fine; but waiting years for the resolution? Not cool, dude. Not cool.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

OH MY GOOOOOSH!!!

You can forget everything I said about the trailers not being satisfying!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!

Two years?!?!? really???
I guess they are being true to the fact that it has been two years since the last season....somehow I was thinking Sherlock time was different.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!

message 30: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion Nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope. No. Nope.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) | 1584 comments O.K I'm popping in here for approximately three seconds - Watson:"I don't care how you did it, why did you do it?"
Erp, is it just me or does that bear fell tidings to an explanation? It would be suitably cruel of the producers. I'd decided to pop in here after seeing some conversation on it when my brother was ghosting a 1.2.3 so bai for now!

But, eer, it looks - *squeaks* gosh, gosh, gosh, gosh! Sherlock! And Mycroft! And Watson!
(And this line: "What life? I've been away." Oh, *wipes tear of mirth*)

Ah, well, as aforesaid I wanted to fuel the flames of fangirling.
Eee, oh my goodness.....Oh, Btw, Eris already shared that in one of the threads so I'm not the first one to get it on here.

@Rebecca, yes, that trailer was quite fulfilling :D.

message 32: by Marie (new)

Marie O'leary | 7 comments I can't wait to see Sherlock pop out of a cake!

message 33: by Anna (new)

Anna M. Watson | 98 comments I want to know WHY he stayed away TWO YEARS! That just seems cruel...what was he doing all that time? SO EXCITED FOR THIS!

message 34: by shrish (new)

shrish (orshay) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH EXACTLY 24 HOURS FROM NOW I'LL BE CRYONG BECAUSE SHERLOCK IS ON TOMORROW!

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

LUCKY!! Us 'Mericans have to wait until Jan 19th. Though I am considering waiting until the DVD is released in early Feb because PBS cuts scenes....

message 36: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion THEY DO?!?!?!?!? Oh, man, I've gotta look into live-streaming websites...

message 37: by Anna (new)

Anna M. Watson | 98 comments You can watch on the BBC website if you get Hola unblocker for Google Chrome or Firefox. It works really well. -from the fan in Canada where Sherlock doesn't air at all

message 38: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion Ooh, thanks!

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) | 1584 comments Oh goodness!!! Eee!!! You've got it in Britain now? Lucky you! January nineteenth is not so far, though.

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

asdfgjkl; guys I'm so excited.

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall (taelianaofthewind) | 1584 comments Concurred. I would assume you saw the excerpt from it?("What life? I've been away."
...
My. I wasn't sure if I wanted to laugh or to cry.)

Anna wrote: "You can watch on the BBC website if you get Hola unblocker for Google Chrome or Firefox. It works really well. -from the fan in Canada where Sherlock doesn't air at all"

It is not aired in Canada?!? That's just...rude.

message 43: by Marie (new)

Marie O'leary | 7 comments Where I live in Canada, I can see it on American PBS.

message 44: by Anna (new)

Anna M. Watson | 98 comments It didn't air season 2 in Canada. Apparently it'll be on PBS. Doesn't matter to me. I watched it on BBC today, and wow, it did not disappoint! Well worth the wait!

Sinda Quietus (superwholockedtrekacrossthestars) | 2846 comments I'm from Canada as well, and I had to livestream it. It just doesn't show on TV here.
