Allison (inconceivably) I had heard a lot of good things about Archer's Goon before starting it, and I have to say...probably my favorite so far besides Howl's Moving Castle. It was so fun to read all the way through, and the twists at the end were great too.

Mir | 43 comments I'm glad you liked it! It is one of my favorites and doesn't seem to be well-known (at least in the States).

Molihua | 13 comments yes, the old titles are harder to find now, especially when they're the less-known ones like Archer's Goon, and aren't celebrities like Howl (...).
it used to be one of my favourties too :) it started coming apart so i haven't picked it up in a while.

Paula (pauldajo) | 67 comments I received my copy of Archer's Goon yesterday from ebay. It's old, but that doen't bother me. I'm going to start reading it soon.

Paula (pauldajo) | 67 comments Even though Archer's Goon was written quite a while ago, the book has DWJ's basic universe thread. If I had not known the author of the book, my guess would be DWJ.

Molihua | 13 comments Paula : Do you mean that if you hadn't already known Archer's Goon was by DWJ you would have recognised her anyway by her style of writing?

(if that is that you mean, then very cool ^^)

Paula (pauldajo) | 67 comments Yasmine, I believe that I would recognise DWJ's as the author by her style of writing or at least say 'This author reminds me of DWJ'. Not only her style of wiriting, but also her universes and the way thoses universes connect to the story and the characters.

Mir | 43 comments I agree, Paula. Even with her books that I didn't like so much I thought they were distinctively hers.

Maz Marik (mazmarik) | 2 comments I adore this book. It pretty much makes no sense, and the logic is twisted beyond breaking point, but that doesn't stop it being amazing.

The TV version was nicely done too!
