Happily Ever After Book Club discussion

Since this is under the "random thoughts" section I thought I would pose this question. Am I the only one that will read a book because the cover is extra pretty? But sometimes the book turns out to be a little less then "pretty?" Have you ever been recommended a book that turned out to be great, but the cover was lacking? If so, please share your favorite covers, favorite surprises and most memorable!

PS I think the one that surprised me the most was "Just Ella." That cover did not do that book justice. :)

I'm sure I've read good books with not-so-great covers, but I can't think of a good example at the moment.

You're right Abigail! The cover is pretty, but wow the story sounds blah to me. Great example!

I LOVE this book! But look at that cover...who wants to read that?! Ha, ha. Seriously I would have never read this book if it didn't come so highly recommended by a friend who I knew had good taste in books

Chrissy, that is a horrible cover!! TO be honest I am with you and would never pick up that book unless my BFF said I just HAD to read it.

I removed the dust jacket long ago! And even after having read the book three times, I still have no idea what the cover is about. I keep hoping they will put this in an ebook form with a beautiful cover. That will be a happy day! :)

That cover is awful!!! I seriously would never even consider reading that book. Unless someone told me it was absolutely amazing. I think it's funny how much a cover can sway your opinion. Can't judge a book by its cover is pretty true.
