" or something, guess we went to fast", zane chuckled. " then perhaps get off me so i may move", elundar asked.
She smiled. "Thank you, Elundar." She wrapped her cloak around her and Toby, looking over and seeing that Zane had one as well. "My hood's open, El."
Finrod ran behind them the entire way doubtful they even knew he was there in the forest he ran as silent as the leaves. He stopped a few trees back and walked to them hearing all and saying "I have blankets if you need them and I can get dough if need be." he said shrugging a medium bag on his back.
((HEHE sorry I had sleep issues lately and trying to track when yall post around me is hard with 3 groups and 7 charries across them))
Finrod smiled behind his mask and dropped his heavy pack with an audible thump then untied the bedrolls and tossed them to FIera "THere give me a moment for the dough though I will have to hunt for the meat."
"I can gather the materials at least I have slept well enough." He sat cross legged and went into a magical trance calling the necessary things to make dough in front of him through a low entrancing elven incantation.
Finrod was locked in his forest magic as the things slid across the forest floor stopping in front of his legs and waited for him to merge them together.
Finrod stayed in his Incantation some of the phrases becoming so old even a versed being would be confused. He soon was at the end where the materials merged together and he had water come from the under layer of the ground and go into the ball. He finished and caught the ball then took a few deep breaths "You forget how old I am Fiera." He said simply looking at her a slight bit less energy in his amper eyes
"So when I get really really old I can do weird cooking magic?" she asked, kind of freaked out by what she'd seen.
"It is a something I learned from one of my great masters Fiera and it is not Cooking magic, it is Forest magic my calling on the wood to give what I ask." He said a slight edge in his voice as she inadvertently insulted his masters who he saw as his parents.
"Oh," she said, a pang of guilt hitting her. "Sorry, I didn't understand. It was really cool to watch, everything, even if... well, it was scary."
"It is no fault of yours Young one all beings fear that which we can not understand, even I fear a few things being 21000 years old but I understand a great great many more." He said rising with the ball kneading it to be malleable then handing it to Fiera and drawing his dark bow and and arrow from his special quiver strapped along the small of his back.
"Thanks," she said, "how do I keep the dough fresh in this world? There aren't exactly fridges or... and what are you doing with that bow?"
"Hmm I Suppose that is troubling, I believe I have a special skin wrap in my pack." He closed his eyes and listened to the forest waiting for a buck to be curious about the song he had song. "I am getting the meat just be quiet and you will see." He said softly so as not to scare the animals he needed.
She sat down, arms wrapped around her legs, pulling a blanket around herself. Toby was curled up next to her, asleep, and she watched him, nodding and being as quiet as possible.
Fin stood absolutely still waiting for the next component his hand on the notch of his arrow.A few moments later there was a branch snap and Finrod's eyes shot open in one fluid movement he aimed and released the arrow his hair not have dropped before he released.
She bit her lip. Sure, he was what, 21000 years old, but he still killed the animal so callously. "Is that it?" she whispered.
"Hmm no I hit a spot where the buck only feels pain for a moment then numb." He walked over to the deer still alive but not in any pain he drew a slim dagger out of his boot then put his knee on its shoulder to make the next move perfect he said to the deer "Quel kaima Mellon" He then slid the dagger into the deer along the spine into its brain.
"My song always draws those truly attune to the wood it is more for drawing the things such as medicine and spices or poison but animals sometimes hear it and are interested in the strange sound" He said then looked to Fiera and walked over and set his hand on her shoulder "I do not kill with out cause Young one, I only take what I need no more." He went and got a pouch from his bag to store the meat he was about to take
She understood hunting, but this hardly seemed fair sport... Maybe it was more humane, in a way, but... She winced. Well, maybe it was better than just chasing it down to kill.
