s•u•n•s•h•i•n•e «§KENZ§» | 123 comments I have a feeling me and Sarah are going to have lots of ideas about this, so... I just gave it it's own topic. ;)

s•u•n•s•h•i•n•e «§KENZ§» | 123 comments (Diandra) An obvious Omega level mutant is Magneto, whose powers over magnetism lead to a variety of abilities and also allow him to manipulate related fields of gravity and electricity to a certain degree. Storm could be considered an Omega level mutant, with her manipulation of the elements (an ability she can't completely turn off, as her power is keyed to her emotions).

I was reading info and read the above paragraph and I had a lightbulb about Diandra.

"whose powers over magnetism lead to a variety of abilities and also allow him to manipulate related fields of gravity and electricity to a certain degree" >>> So much more I hadn't even thought about! This should be the sort of stuff I think she and Leon are working on, in private because...

—"an ability she can't completely turn off, as her power is keyed to her emotions" This is just a thought I'm interrupting with. Diandra has a similar thing going on here. Her powers are never completely turned off. Likewise, Leon has the same issue, though it is not related to his emotions.—

...while they're both sure she is at least an Alpha, Leon is sure she is an Omega and is trying to push her to get her to that next level. (He, by the way, is not an Omega. I have yet to classify him. Lol. Get it?! Classify?? ;D Clearly, I'm hilarious.) Oh. And he also can't help from reading her thoughts. (I believe that's the power he has.) I can't tell you how excited I am for this.

Not too sure about her being level omega... Omega is a mutant that has power up the wazoo. Jean Grey was omega because her psionic abilities were so intense she could literally obliterate people into particles of dust with a thought of her mind because she was a level omega. Magneto was only an Alpha, so Diandra probably is too.

s•u•n•s•h•i•n•e «§KENZ§» | 123 comments I think our classification is slightly less dramatic than that? I do realize that in X-Men, Magneto wouldn't be an Omega, but by our standards, I think that is arguable that he could be. I wrote out the classification system that we'll be using in the Neibaur group, and Omega includes immense control of matter, which Diandra has. She can control metal, and by such, also effect gravity and electricity to an extent.

๖ۣۜSαᴙαh ๖ۣۜMᴄĄłłiƨʈeʀ (inked_chinadoll) 1. Sunshine, you are hilarious. :D

2. I, too, thought that Dee was an Alpha; however, I really like the idea of Leon thinking that she is an Omega and wanting to push her past her boundaries/limits.

3. If he's reading her thoughts, they're kinda dirty when they're around him. :P

4. I'm so excited about this too!

5. So down for having our own topic. ;)

Yep. That's the only response I have for you! :D

๖ۣۜSαᴙαh ๖ۣۜMᴄĄłłiƨʈeʀ (inked_chinadoll) LOL. :P

Also, based on Kataury's chart, I'd say Dee is only level 3 and Leon would be working on level 4 with her. Considering she can only control metal at this point (having never considered gravity fields and such to be an option), she still has so much potential before finally becoming "Magneto." WDYT?

WDYT = what do you think?

s•u•n•s•h•i•n•e «§KENZ§» | 123 comments Um... I just got out of the shower, so I have no idea.

s•u•n•s•h•i•n•e «§KENZ§» | 123 comments Kataury's Ideas for Diandra:

"Oh yeah... Well. I think she could develop several possible abilities:

1. Meticulous artificing: she can manipulate metals on a nearly molecular level, since metals are atoms that pool their electrons together, she can focus her energies enough to make a metal so perfectly solid, and hold the electrons so perfectly still that a metal can be made indestructible and non-malleable. Not only that but she'd be able to control a very specific piece of metal amongst a large quantity of other metals. If she wants just a screw out of a clock, then she can focus her energy on just that screw and pull that one out while leaving others in (as an example). Oh! She could also control the iron content in people's bodies and potentially kill people with their blood, but that's more Omega level...

2. She can control enormous amounts of metal. Instead of the common quantity of say... three tons of metal, she can manipulate metals on an enormous scale, like, an entire skyscraper for example. And because metals are able to conduct multiple elements, she can also apply friction to large amounts of metal matter and have it heat up into a molten ball of metal. Or make it a really powerful lightening rod and have it pull electricity from the very air with an enhanced conduction and be able to shoot it off like a tazer of death.

Boiling it down I see it as either quantity or quality for metal powers."
