Fun reading discussion

So... are any or all of you writers? What have you written? Is it available on Amazon? What have you tried in promotion that either has or has not worked? Or maybe you all just like to read...

I love to read, but haven't been reading much lately. Just so busy this year. I have books piling up. I already know what my next 3 books are. Can't pass up a book that sounds interesting. As for writing, well, I'd love to be able to put my sometimes quirky ideas on to paper, but if I don't have time for that right now either. Anyone reading something really good?

Actually, if you haven't read the Harry Potter series yet, you should. It's much better than the movies, and rather different. This series evoked a lot of emotion from me, but that's just me.

I read Harry Potter while I was living in Japan. It is probably a series I might have avoided in the US -
i've a bit of a contrarian nature and the hype was a little off-putting - but inany case I DID read them and LOVED them. I'd recommend them to anyone.
