Love this author! I thought this was a great spin off to The Lightning Thief. Love Jason and Piper. I still need to read the next couple of books in this series.
I love this series, just as much, if not more, than The Lightning Thief! Rick Riordan is just awesome (: Have you read The Kane Chronicles?
The Lost Hero is amazing. I have read it several times. Rick Riordan is such an amazing writer. The Kane Chronicles are my favorite.
I started reading this book last night. It is a really good spin off book! It is really fast paced an the characters are awesome!!!!!
This HoO series is perfect, I just finished Son of Neptune today and holy molly wasn't that great. Also, Leo Valdez is a cutie pie that needs a hug.
I finished Lost Hero last month. Jason is different than Percy. He is more serious while Percy was witty. Maybe due to the different training and such in the two camps.
I already finished House of Hades, the 4th book in hoO and let me tell you it's an awesome series!! They're some tearjerker moments at the end of Mark of Athena and oh here comes the feels....
Rick Riordan is just a writing king. I admire him so much, it's absolutely crazy. I own all 12 of his books with 8 of them in hardcover because I buy them all right when they come out. I'm sooo excited for Blood of Olympus and the Norse series that he just announced! Featuring the one and only Thor!!

Jason has a problem.
He doesn't remember anything before waking up on a school bus holding hands with a girl. Apparently he has a girlfriend named Piper. His best friend is a kid named Leo, and they're all students in the Wilderness School, a boarding school for "bad kids", as Leo puts it. What he did to end up here, Jason has no idea—except that everything seems very wrong.
Piper has a secret.
Her father, a famous actor, has been missing for three days, and her vivid nightmares reveal that he's in terrible danger. Now her boyfriend doesn't recognize her, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, she, Jason, and Leo are whisked away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood. What is going on?
Leo has a way with tools.
His new cabin at Camp Half-Blood is filled with them. Seriously, the place beats Wilderness School hands down, with its weapons training, monsters, and fine-looking girls. What's troubling is the curse everyone keeps talking about, and that a camper's gone missing. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist they are all—including Leo—related to a god.
