If I didn't already have the month of November booked with reading, I would of loved to join in on this group read! This book sounds interesting !!!
This thread is to discuss The Necromancer's Gambit. But please try not to post any spoilers, as you may be further ahead than other people. Thank-you :)
I'm having a love/hate relationship with this book. On the love side, the characters are great, the plot/situation has some unique elements that make it original and the pacing is good. On the hate side, I find I have to reread several sentences and untangle them to understand what is being expressed. This happens from time to time in a lot of books and it usually doesn't bother me much but it happens so often in this book that I am getting tired of being pulled out of this great/strange world to reread sentences.

I think I'm the same. I'm enjoying it but at the same time it feels like an awful lot of hard work. And it's taking me ages to read. I think I've finished 3 other books in the same time I've been reading this one.

I have to agree on this unfortunately. I'm stuck at 30% and I've read two other books while I've been reading it. Finding it hard to get into this one.
