BJ (GoodreadscomLilcLdy57) | 54 comments Oops, I'm going to have to take off "L is for Lawless" and "All Mortal Flesh" in the Julia Spencer Fleming series. I was in the mood to read those 2 series and read those 2 books last month. I'm going to add another series to my list. I want to finish the Jack Daniels series by J A Konrath. The ones I have left are:
Dirty Martini
Fuzzy Navel
Cherry Bomb
Shaken
Stirred

There are also several short stories/novellas in this series to read also:
65Proof
Jack Daniels Stories
With a Twist
Jacked Up

I may add more series later.

BJ (GoodreadscomLilcLdy57) | 54 comments This week I finished Blindsided by Fern Michaels, one of the Sisterhood series; Doing Hard Time, a Stone Barrington novel by Stuart Woods, one of my guilty pleasures; and Love You More, #5 in Lisa Gardner's Detective D. D. Warren series, which I think is the best in this series, so far. The first 2 were enjoyable, the last was intense and the type of book you just don't want to put down, you have to know what happens next. Great week for reading!

BJ (GoodreadscomLilcLdy57) | 54 comments This past week was a slow one for me with reading, too many other things to do. Finished O is for Outlaw, #15 in the Sue Grafton Kinsey Millhone series and a novella, #15.5 in the Kathy Reichs, Temperance Brennan series titled, Bones in her Pocket which actually had a story, unlike many novellas I have read.

BJ (GoodreadscomLilcLdy57) | 54 comments In the last 2 weeks, I have finished 3 books from the library and 1 from my Kindle for this challenge. I read Bones of the Lost by Kathy Reichs, #16 in her Temperance Brennan series which was okay but definitely not as good as her earlier ones. I also read Storm Front, Virgil Flowers #7 by John Sandford which is getting mixed reviews, but which I enjoyed; and The Vintage Caper, the first in a trilogy by Peter Mayle. This was the first of Mayle's fiction works that I have read and I enjoyed it. From my Kindle, I read J A Konrath's Dirty Martini, the 4th in the Jack Daniel's series, also very interesting as the serial killer was a poisoner, which was rather unusual.

BJ (GoodreadscomLilcLdy57) | 54 comments It's been awhile since I've posted so here goes. First, the ones I've read from series already posted: Spencer--Through the Evil Days which finishes this series for now; Jance--Moving Target which is the latest in this series; Michaels--Kiss and Tell, which is the latest in the Sisterhood series with the next one scheduled for Jan 2015; Goldenbaum--Angora Alibi with the next one scheduled out in May; Gardner--Catch Me and the novella, The 7th Month, the next and last one in this series currently is on my shelf and will start in a few; and finally, Patterson--Cross My Heart, which from reading the reviews was controversial, but I loved it and can't wait for the next one, and NYPD Red 2 which also was good. In fact, all of these were very enjoyable, some of my favorite series and authors.

BJ (GoodreadscomLilcLdy57) | 54 comments A few more to add:
Childs, Laura/The Cackleberry Club Series
#5--Eggs in a Casket

#2--The Lost Key (Due out in 9/2014)

In the past few weeks, I've read:
Coulter's Brit in the FBI #1 -- The Final Cut which was quite good; Cates' Charms and Chocolate Chips -- Even though I'm not big on Cozies, this one is pretty good, set in Savannah with a magical component which makes it interesting; Jack Higgins' The Death Trade -- I love this Sean Dillon Series and have read them all; Laura Child's Cackleberry Club, Eggs in a Casket, again an enjoyable Cozy. The cozies I like tend to have something to do with food, do you notice a theme here? That's all for now, moving on to the next book(s).

BJ (GoodreadscomLilcLdy57) | 54 comments Adding another Series:
McComber, Debbie Blossom Street series
#9--Starting Now
#10-- Blossom Street Brides

Today, I finished #9 Starting Now, which I thought was okay, not as good as some of the previous in the series, but worth the read.

BJ (GoodreadscomLilcLdy57) | 54 comments In the last couple of months since I last posted, I've read a few more books for this group: I finished the series by Lisa Gardner, the last book was titled Fear Nothing and was quite good. I've read a couple of Susan Mallery, the last in the Blackberry Island series, titled Evening Stars and the latest in the Fool's Gold series, When We met. I've also read the latest in Jodi Thomas's Harmony series, Betting the Rainbow (This is an excellent small town series!). I read the first in a series by J. T. Ellison about a medical examiner titled A Deeper Darkness. I read a novella, Last Chance Bride and the next book in that series, Last Chance Christmas, another small town, romantic series by Hope Ramsay. I've read a couple more Stone Barrington books by Stuart Woods, Standup Guy and Carnal Curiosity. I love this series. I read the latest in Debbie Macomber's Blossom Street series, Blossom Street Brides. I read the latest in the Sheila Roberts' Life in Icicle Falls series, Book #4, The Cottage on Juniper Ridge. I also read the latest John Sandford, Lucas Davenport, Field of Prey and Sue Graftons, P is for Peril, as well as James Patterson's latest in the Women's Murder Club series, Unlucky 13. All of these, except the J. T. Ellison series, were by authors I read all the time and follow. All were pretty good reads.

BJ (GoodreadscomLilcLdy57) | 54 comments Wow, I didn't realize how long since I posted on here. I have been reading though. Since the last post, I have read Sweet Talk, HotShot, and Fast Track (# 10, 11, and 12 of the Buchanon-Renard Series) by Julie Garwood, all of which I enjoyed; I, Michael Bennett, Gone, and Burn (#5, 6, and 7 of the Michael Bennett Series) by James Patternson. My least favorite was I, Michael Bennett, I started it, then stopped, then went back and started it again. I also read The Promise and The Homecoming by Robyn Carr (#5 and #6 of the Thunder Point Series), both good books, but I am just not liking this series as much as I loved her Virgin River series. Susan Mallery, I read Before We Kiss, Until We Touch and Yours for Christmas (Fools Gold #14, 15 and 15.5). I read Emily March's Dreamweaver Trail (Eternity Springs #8). I read The Night is Alive by Heather Graham, Krewe of Hunters #10. I also read the first two books in another trilogy by Heather Graham, Let the Dead Sleep and Waking The Dead, #1 and 2 in the Cafferty and Quinn series. The first one was okay, the second I felt was just a redo of the first, just a different art object, the first book revolved around a statue and the second, a painting. Not too impressed and I usually love her books. Read Janet Evanovich's Top Secret Twenty One (Stephanie Plum #21); Q is for Quarry and R is for Ricochet, #17 and 18 in the Sue Grafton Kinsey Millhone series. Q was probably my favorite in the series so far, it was a fictional account based on a true life cold case; J. A. Jance, Joanna Brady #16 Remains of Innocence and The Old Blue Line, Joanna Brady #15.5 which was kind of a Prequel of the story of Joanna Brady and her second husband Butch which I really enjoyed. I have read several of Rex Stout's and Robert Goldsborough's Nero Wolfe series in the past, so I really enjoyed Robert Goldsborough's Archie Meets Nero Wolfe: A Prequel to Rex Stout's Nero Wolfe Mysteries, loved it. I also read Catherine Coulter's Power Play (FBI Thriller #18) and Coulter and Ellison's, The Lost Key (A Brit in the FBI #2), both of which I enjoyed. On Sunset Beach (Chesapeake Diaries #8) by Mariah Stewart; Kathy Reichs, Swamp Bones: A Novella (Temperance Brennan #16.5) and Bones Never Lie (Temperance Brennan #17) which was much better than her last one; Stuart Woods, Cut and Thrust and Paris Match (Stone Barrington #30 and 31) which for some reason, I always enjoy; Terminal City (Alexandra Cooper #16) by Linda Fairstein. I started Allison Brennan's New series, Max Revere #0.5, Maximum Exposure which was enough to make me want to read the first book as soon as I can get it. All of these are by authors that I read all the time and follow. Most were pretty good reads.

BJ (GoodreadscomLilcLdy57) | 54 comments Okay, I've got a few more. I've read all of Fern Michael's Sisterhood series, so I was anxious to read the offshoot, The Men of the Sisterhood, #1, Upside Down, which was a bit of a disappointment to me, the men just didn't live up to the women in this series. I read #4 in Donna Kauffman's, Cupcake Club series, Honey Pie; Lisa's Gardner's Touch and Go, which was Tessa Leoni's #2, #1 was actually also #5 in her D. D. Warren series which I had already finished for this challenge. There is a third one coming out next year. I read the fourth in the Magical Bakery Mysteries by Bailey Cates, Some Enchanted Eclair, this series is really good, and I'm not a big cozy reader. Swan Point by Sherryl Woods, #11 in her Sweet Magnolias series; Designated Daughters #19 in Margaret Maron's Deborah Knott series; #10 and 11 in the Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis, It's in His kiss and He's So Fine - this is supposed to be the last trilogy in this series, it's supposedly ending with #12 which I still have to read, so sorry to see this series end, I've loved every one. You Again: A Shelter Bay Novella by JoAnn Ross, I had read all the books in this series, so I had to read this novella. Deadline (Virgil Flowers #8) by John Sandford, as always entertaining; Nothing Gold can Stay and Better to Rest, #3 and 4 in Dana Stabenow's Liam Campbell 4-some. Thought that was the end of a very good series, but then I found that one of her Kate Shugak books also has Liam in it, so I'm reading that one now too. Edge of Black (Dr. Samantha Owens #2) J. T. Ellison; The tea Shop on Lavender Lane (Life in Icicle Falls #5) by Sheila Roberts; Fuzzy Navel by J. A. Konrath, #5 of his Jack Daniel's Mysteries. Again, all authors that I have previously read, follow and enjoy.
