December Group Read Nominations

Jim, I think that's a great thought for thematic zombie books reads. Military, western, outbreak, post-apocalytic survival, young adult, etc. That could be pretty cool, imo. Personally, I would like to do a Group Read for holiday-themed zombies for December - I'm a little old fashioned, traditional that way.
An Amazon search for Kindle books related to zombies and Christmas:http://www.amazon.com/s?rh=n:15706001...
I nominate my book GNASH for December's group read.GNASH has been described as a political suspense with non-stop action and freakin' zombies! I'm a military guy so the book does have a military undertone without being hard to understand or too much army jargon.
People have also been really surprised how realistic it is for a zombie book. The scenario is plausible and the fear of bioterrorism is a real threat in our world today.

My book 'The Last Words' (formerly know as 'Meme') takes place in Dec due to the whole Mayan calender Dec 21st thing but the characters are a bit too busy for egg nog and Christmas carols. Also should be noted they are not traditional undead zombies. I can't believe I have never come across a holiday themed zombie novel, I might have to go write one. Maybe something like a Die Hard with zombies. Better yet a Home Alone with zombies.
I vote for
My Life as a White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland. I haven't read it yet, and it's available at my local library sooooo....

How the Zombie Saved Christmas?
The poll has been posted with voting going through the 29th. Because of limited participation in the group reads, only the top vote getter will be the group read for the month (1 read instead of 2 books).
Has anyone read This Shattered Land?
I read the first one and really liked it, and have the second one ready to start.
Damn it, what about some of Armand Rosamilias books? I'm currently reading his Dying Days series. I'm up to three. Or Todd Brown?
Moderator's Note:
The wrong cover was posted in the poll for Desolation. It should have been the version by Mark Campbell as opposed to the version by Travis Simmons. Please verify your vote and make sure that is the title you selected.

Separately, any thoughts on doing initial voting to select a theme topic followed by voting on books that fit that theme as part of the group read?
