The part of the book set in Castle Dracula in Transylvania is very different from the part set in England. Which did you prefer? Why? What made so different? Which did you find spookier?

More questions to come--I just need to, um, finish the book.

For a lot of the same reasons, I think of other horror books I've read like Jack the Ripper set in England, etc. Having never read anything about Transylvania, that was my preference for this particular story. It was spookier too!

I went to a workshop last night that was given by a couple that had spent 8 days in Transylvania and Romania. Got to see the Castle Dracula, and they showed tons of torture equipment that give me shivers just to think about. They recommended another Dracula book called The Historian, which I'll probably read at some point.
