Ash Hi, after reading the rules and all about the group, I am pretty sure this is the correct place for me to post my question. Why do I seem to see manhwas and webcomics mentioned together quite a lot? What is the difference between the two? Also, since I am really, really new to the world of webcomics, where are some of the best places to find them?
Hope that wasn't too mucgh to ask at once!

Hmm. It could be because a fair number of manhwa are published as webcomics. Generally manhwa are Korean comics as manga are Japanese comics. Webcomics refers to any comic primarily distributed online.

There are a lot of quality webcomics out there. We have two folders that would be a good place to start. The Webcomic of the Month folder has threads for all of this year's group reads, and the Webcomic Discussions folder has individual discussions for a bunch of webcomic, including past group reads.

We also had a bunch of poll tournaments a while back based on everyone's favorite comics, art, characters, etc. The winners list is here and could give you an idea of some of the most popular webcomics around here.

Hope you find something fun to read! And feel free to ask all you'd like. That's what the groups here for. :)

Oh, and the bookshelves for this group might also be helpful. They aren't just group reads, they contain any webcomics we know of (limited to free to read stuff). They're meant to be a resource for finding webcomics and have several sub categories for different genres, etc.
