I would love to join you guys. I won books 2 and 3 in this series at a romance author event, and recently bought this one so I could read them in order. I've heard great things about the series, so I'm looking forward to it!
We'd love to have you join us! Just jump in anytime on the first and let us know what you're thinking of it!
Just a reminder to all following this thread: the buddy read starts tomorrow! I can't wait to read this...I've had a lot of dud books lately and I really hope this one breaks the streak!
Aaannnd...discussion is open! Just started this early this morning, and man, did the prologue grab me right off the bat! I've got a Kindle copy, and am 12% in already. I'm already finding it hard to put down, and the mystery definitely has my interest piqued! Its already reminding me of NCIS or the like, but without the crime scene aspect. Looking forward to seeing where this goes!
After several reading sessions yesterday and today, I am currently 58% through the book and totally enjoying it! I'm under a lot of stress right now, and its the only thing I'm able to lose myself in and forget my troubles for a while. I hope everyone else is enjoying the read!
I started this one last night, and the prologue really grabbed me too! This is going to be my before-bed book, so it may take me longer than usual to get through it...unless it keeps me up late like last night. :)The romantic tension isn't that interesting to me (I'm generally not a fan of the "they love each other but keep misinterpreting the other's feelings" trope), but I love the black ops stuff and their cool cover story.
You girls are killing me...lol. I have to finish my current book and then I'm reading this right away. I'm so jealous!
I started this morning, actually listening to the audio version rather than reading, and so far I'm enjoying it. Unfortunately I won't get have much chance to do more listening until Wednesday...crazy day tomorrow, so probably close to the end of the week before I finish.
Sorry is it ok if I start now? I was reviewing 3 books and just finished! As it is one of my December pick it for me challenge, I will read anyway xx

I had a very stressful day yesterday and didn't get a chance to read. Thankfully, stressor is all gone now, so hopefully I can get to reading today!
Nearly done with the book, but had to stop and post to say...the end of the Oval Office scene? PRICELESS!
Finished the book tonight! Overall, I really enjoyed it, though the ending was a bit of a letdown for me. Won't go into it until others finish it, but I'd love to hear thoughts as folks are reading it!
I'm 25% done now. I'm glad we've met the Big Bad, and I really love Ali. She's bold and funny - my favorite characteristics in a lead!
Love this series! It's going to be my next purchase! I just bought two books last night with my quick one click purchase finger. LOL
I'm still only about 1/3 of the way through...just haven't had much listening or reading time in the last few days! The one thing that really strikes me about this book is how much it reminds me of Tara Janzen's Steel Street series - same basic premise...a group of elite government operatives working out of a high-end auto restoration business. Anyone who is enjoying this book and hasn't read the Steel Street books should definitely check them out...the first book is Crazy Hot.

I finished last night. I'm excited to continue on with the series. Overall I liked the balance between humor and action, as well as the romance with some emotional hurdles. I didn't always feel that these two were destined to be soul mates, and I thought the Grigg backstory was more interesting. I loved Rebel and Frank, so I'm happy they're the focus of book 2!

I finished this morning (finally!). I think it suffered a bit for me just because RL has been so crazy for the last couple of weeks and reading/listening time has been hard to come by...makes it kind of hard to stay in the story. I did enjoy it though, and I too am looking forward to Rebel and Frank's story. I will definitely be continuing the series, but it's not one that I feel a burning desire to jump right into the next book - more like one that simmers in the background until it fits a challenge slot! :D

I'm waiting until next month too, since I have so many books to read for the end of the year. I hope the series keeps going strong!
I hope everyone has either finished the book, or is currently still reading it. We still have a bit to go in the month, if folks want to add their thoughts about it!
Isa wrote: "I finished last week I absolutely loved it! Fell in love with Ghost :)))"I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Isa wrote: "CANT wait to read Frank story xx"Me either! I've got it up for the Cookie challenge, so next month!
Since we're nearing the end of the month, I wanted to thank everyone for participating in this buddy read! I hope everyone enjoyed reading Hell on Wheels and I look forward to more buddy reads with everyone!

Black Knights Inc.--Behind the facade of their tricked-out motorcycle shop is an elite special ops team assigned the jobs too hot for anyone else to handle.
Hold On Tight...
Ex-Marine Nate "Ghost" Weller is an expert at keeping his cool--and his distance--which makes him one hell of a sniper. It's also how he keeps his feelings for Ali Morgan in check. Sweet, sexy Ali has always revved his engine, but she's his best friend's baby sister...and totally off limits.
Rough Road Ahead
Ali's never seen anything sexier than Nate Weller straddling his custom Harley--or the flash of danger in his eyes when she tells him she's in trouble. First something happened to her brother, and now she's become the target of a nasty international organization. With Nate, her life is in the most capable hands possible--but her heart is another story altogether.
I got this book for a Meet and Greet pick, and wound up picking it for Tina "coffee and books"! We both selected this for a pick, so have decided to do a buddy read on it as well. We're starting it December 1st, and welcome anyone wanting to read the book along with us!
