I've read the book a couple of times but never really understood one part - does Violet's father bribe the Colourman to increase Violet's Ishihara score or to declare Jane a Green?

Violet's father bribed him to change Jane's results. Afterwards Jane and Eddie mention that there is no way to get Jane re-tested since the test is final. They believe that Jane is the one who has been incorrectly categorised.
