My goal for 2014 is to read 75 books, 20,000 pages and to do as many challenges as I can . I'm currently in about 15 challenges and 1 reading discussions. I may do more reading discussions too. It is nice because you get to discuss the book with others and you can also see what others think about the book.
15 challenges? Better give me some. Kidding. My aim is to read 60 books this year. The one thing I won't do, is to plan ahead and commit to reading pre-chosen books. I think not planning ahead keeps the buzz going and the excitement to read a book remains intact. That's my opinion.

So this year the books that I believed to have rushed through are going to be re-reads but it's ok with me because then I can use then for some of my challenges too.

Good luck, Jim. :)
Good luck, Jim. :)

Great list!

i set my challenge at 55 books or ebooks in january for the year, hoever I think I will pass this as already at 22!
I might since I read a lot, running 10 books at the moment so will hit my target by August possibly :)
you guys are all amazing! I now have 3 challenges for this year. The site year challenge, this group's year challenge and this group's genre challenge. I think that is all I can handle. I just setup my challenge thread ;)
Kathryn that's amazing. I have upped my challenges since my last post. I've enter over 20 challenges and finished 5 and almost done with another 4. I couldn't help myself. I really enjoy them. :) I have to get back to you on how many I've entered because I really haven't count them but I have them all written in my notebook.
Carmen, which kind of challenges have you done? I can't even fathom doing 20 challenges in one year's time. I'm doing 4 and am tiring of some of them.
Chase I am in monthly, yearly and at your own pace challenges. I have finished about 4 challenges so for and almost done with another 3. Oh and I've counted my exact challenges and I have a total of 32 challenges that I have entered. I find it fun and it keeps me busy too.
a few moments ago I set down my Kindle, the last page of the 70th book I finished this year. Not much could feel as satisfying as finishing that book, no matter how bad it was. Seventy books.

If you want to create your own personal challenge for 2014, either tracking your Reading Challenge process or perhaps other themes/challenges, please feel free to make your own thread.
