Everyone who loves dystopian novels will love The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer.

Its different from all dystopian novels out there. I read it some.years ago and thought it was wonderful. Back then there weren't a lot dyatopian novels out there. So it was before that big hype. Plus, it's different to the recent dystopian novels because it's in the POV of a little boy (not a desperate teenage girl). You shoukd really check it out.
