Madeline walked around with her bow in her hand and arrows on her back.

Fang walked along side of her sniffing around sometimes.

Commander Erwin Smith trotted on his chesnut along the pothole ridden mud path. He craned his head upwards to look at the cloudy sky. ' Looks like it will rain soon.' He thought and tapped the horse's side with his heels to increase it's pace. Currently, he was making his way back to the walls after a quick scout out mission. Luckily it was a small mission and no had died for once.

Akito was riding on a horse as he sighed, looking over at his brother Kaoru who simply smiled at him.

((Thankyou. Have they met yet?))
Erwin gripped the reins tightly and heard the sound of hooves behind him.

((Nevermind I read your profiles.))

Miaki rode fast, she was next to Akito, she was ready to jump off at any moment.

Erwin continued to ride at steady pace and after a few stressful moments he reached the outer gate.

Miaki rode following the commander.

Akito followed after Erwin and entered the walls, letting out a breath of relief.

Kaoru looked over at Akito and noticed how tense he was, frowning a bit. He knew he was new to the Survey Corps, and that would frighten him.

Miaki looked over at Akito, "You ok?" she asked softly.

(( Just for a moment.)) Erwin climbed of his horse and fed him. "Alright everyone, good work. We need to restock and feed our horses. We will head back out in an hour. Dismissed."

Akito got off of his horse and began to feed it, looking over at Kaoru who was walking over to him.

"Akito. How are you feeling after your first mission outside of the walls?" Kaoru asked, smiling.

Akito smiled back slightly, "It makes me nervous, but I'm sure I'll get used to it."

Miaki got off and started to feed her horse too, "Akito, are you alright?" she asked, "You seemed really...sick and nervous..." she said softly.

Erwin walked over to the siblings, Kaoru and Akito. " Good work, I would like to continue seeing teamwork coming from you two." He praised.

Miaki looked over to commander, she looked back to Akito and Kaoru, they really were a good team when they worked together.

Kaoru nodded at Commander Erwin, "Yes, sir." He looked at Akito and ruffled his hair, wrapping an arm around his brother's shoulders. "Don't worry, you'll be fine after you get used to it. After all, we're doing this for the better of humanity!"

Akito laughed a bit, nodding, "And for Gin and Mom too!"

Erwin nodded in greeting to Miaki, " You did very good as well."

Miaki nodded, "Thanks commander." she said and petted her horse.

" You three deserve it. I haven't seen such teamwork in a long time." A dark haze passed over his features before hazing over. "We will be leaving in a half hour."

Kaoru suddenly felt Akito lean against him, looking down at him, "Akito?" he leaned down and looked at his face to see blood.

Akito wiped his nose to see blood, "I got another bloody nose, its nothing..." he sighed and stood up straight, looking up at the wall. For humanity...for Mom and Gin... He frowned and looked at Kaoru before he smiled.

Miaki was a little surprised, she didn't necessarily consider herself good. She nodded, "Alright, thanks again commander." she said, she stroke her horse's mane.

"Akito?" she looked over at them, "..." she didn't say anything.

Erwin nodded and was about to turn away when he saw crimson blood on Akito's nose and hand. " Don't tilt your head back and staunch the bleeding with a cloth."

The commander walked back over to his horse who nuzzled his hand. "Are you ready?" He asked it softly. It pressed its nose deeper into his hand. "I'll take that as a yes then."

Miaki handed Akito a cloth handkerchief.

Akito had stopped the bleeding and got back on his horse, swallowing nervously. He took a deep breath and got ready to leave the safety of the walls.

Miaki also got back on her horse and patted it's side reassuringly.

Erwin climbed back on to his horse easily. "Is everyone ready?" He asked, his voice echoing around his comrades.

Akito nodded, but he really was just nervous to leave. He would do it though, he wouldn't show any weakness in front of the others.

Kaoru nodded enthusiastically, "Yes, Sir!"

Miaki nodded, her eyes narrowed, she readied herself for battle.

"Alright, our mission is to claim another stone castle two miles to the north east. Don't forget to use your flares if something goes amiss. Take your positions!" He tapped the horses side and came to a trot.

Akito followed after Erwin, his brother beside him. Once they were outside the walls he grew tense, constantly watching his surroundings.

Erwin kept his eyes straight ahead on expansive field before him.

As they split into different groups of the formation, Kaoru and Akito were together. Suddenly Kaoru called over to Akito, "10 meter class spotted! Be careful Akito!" he said as he shot a red flare off. As the Titan came closer it began to close in on Kaoru fore it finally grabbed him, and was about to eat him when Akito screamed.

"NO!" Akito suddenly bit his thumb before a large titan appeared, about 15 meters. It had large claws and long canines, and pitch black hair that reached down to its neck. It roared, and sliced its claws through the 10 meter Titan's neck, killing it. It roared again, looking at Kaoru.

Kaoru's eyes were wide, and he shot off a purple flare to signal an emergency.

Erwin looked to the sky and saw a purple signal fire.'Not again.' He picked up speed to a gallop at top speed and headed towards the flare.

Kaoru had cut Akito out of the Titan body, and was holding him close as he called for his horse.

Akito was just barely conscious, his skin hot and sweaty.

Erwin growled, " Back away for a moment!" He pulled out his blades.

Kaoru looked at Erwin with wide eyes, "Don't hurt him!" hr said, holding Akito close.

Akito was weak as he looked at Erwin's blurry figure and breathed heavily. This was his first time transforming, but he had done it on instinct somehow.

"I know, I know." Erwin sighed. He stopped his horse, " It was just a precaution. Akito can you hear me?"

Akito didn't answer, but nodded slightly, closing his eyes tiredly. He was burning up, his face red as he coughed.

Kaoru watched Akito worriedly, his eyes wide. He didnt know what would happen to his brother, and just thinking about it made him scared.

Erwin looked around no other flares were in the sky and as far as he could see no other titans were around them. " Alright, lets continue on to the castle we are almost there. When we get there I want you to get some rest." He directed towards Akito. " You may stay with him." He said to Kaoru. "I won't hurt him if he doesn't endanger my people."

Akito opened his eyes and nodded, but when he stood he fell, but luckily Kaoru caught him. "Relax Akito, don't push yourself." He said, helping him up.

"I'm okay..." Akito managed a smile. then stood up and sighed, getting on his horse.

Erwin clambered back onto his horse and went at slightly slower pace and occasionally looked back to make sure the others would keep up with him.

Akito seemed to be recovering quickly and was following behind Erwin. He glanced at Kaoru occasionally, who looked strangely calm despite almost being eaten.

They reached a Victorian stone castle and most of the others were already there. The commander got off his horse again and put him away in an empty stable and headed back to the brothers.

Akito seemed yo be alright, but was still a bit weak. He nearly fell when he stood on his feet, but Kaoru caught him. He looked at Erwin and nodded, "I'm alright."

Kaoru looked at Akito with a worried look, and his eyes were filled with disbelief as he looked at his brother.

Erwin raised an eyebrow but said nothing. "Lets go inside. There's bound to be a bed or two and some blankets."

Miaki nodded, "Lets get inside, you need rest." she told Akito.

Akito nodded and walked in with the help of Kaoru. He laid down once they found a bed, closing his eyes and groaning. His body felt weird, but otherwise he was fine.

Kaoru stayed by Akito until he looked up at Commander Erwin.

Erwin pulled up a chair to the bed and clasped his hands underneath his chin deep in thought. " How long have you known about this ability?" He asked finally his blue eyes resting on the wall in front of him behind the bed.
