Rachel (APCB Reviews) (gr8rach) I don't rant much, but when I do, I have much to say.

Some of things that happened in this book really annoyed me. The main problem is America. She is rash and indecisive. She spends most of the book crying and upset. She ruins every moment with Maxon by saying "I need time." He knows that America!! Maxon has been knocked down a few pegs, in my opinion. He is going around with Kriss and Celeste! Kriss is the backup in case America decides to leave but I am still mad that he is with her. Maxon is screwing around with Celeste. That broke my heart. America is so surprised and hurt that Maxon is spending more time with Kriss. Well what do you expect, America?! Because you don't want to spend time with him, he can't spend time with anyone else?! And you are hurt when Maxon is making out with Celeste while you are doing the same with Aspen!? America, you have no right to be upset and mad! Both characters, Maxon and America, need to realize that they belong with each other. America needs to trust Maxon and have more self-confidence. She loves Maxon but she is letting her intimidation of the crown cloud her judgement. I hate all the fighting and angst between America and Maxon in this book. I can not believe that America couldn't think of a philanthropy project. Really?! There are so many ideas and yet she chooses the one thing that will PO the king. If you want to make changes to Illéa, you must have the seat of princess/queen. You can't get that seat if you are enraging the royalty and advisors. You have to be smart right now, America! And removing the castes isn't even a philanthropy project! It is a government issue. And she tells the king that Maxon let her borrow the diary when Maxon explicitly tells her not to tell anyone that she has it. The ending of the second book is exactly like the ending of the first book. I feel like the rebel attacks aren't that serious and fatal. No one important ever dies! The palace just gets messed up and there are messages on the walls. Only two people were eliminated! I feel like we got no where in this book. I feel like the Selection should be over by now. We need to see America and Maxon make changes to Illéa. Does there really have to be a love triangle here? We all know that America is going to come to her senses and choose Maxon. If America isn't with Maxon and if they don't make changes to Illéa, it would totally ruin everything that this series is building towards and I will not view this series the same way. Despite all of my irritations with this book, I can't bare to knock a star off the rating because I am in love with this series, or the idea and premise of this series. America get your head together and get your priorities straight!

WARNING: THIS RANT IS VERY LONG AND MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ YET. ALSO THIS RANT MAKES VERY LITTLE SENSE:

The Shadow Falls series:
When I first started to read it: Della is such a hypocrite! She gets pissed at Kylie for being grossed out because of blood, then Dellas gonna go run away because of Kylie's power. Really. And then both of them and Miranda, talking about how they're friends to the end and all that jazz, then Kylie asks for help and they automatically say, "No." And Perry's gettin on my nerves too. He wasn't even with Miranda, so therefore he has no reason to be getting all angry and stuff. Thats HIS fault for not doing anything about how he felt but no, he's gonna blame it on Miranda

After I read further: The romance in it is ridiculous! Its like there has to be a love triangle between EVERYBODY! If someone likes someone theres automatically another guy/girl in the equation. Of course there's Kylie and Derek and Lucas. Then theres the guy....i don't even remember his name but it begins with a B and how both Holiday and some other lady like him (begins with an S...i forgot). Then theres Miranda who liked Perry, then right out of the blue another guy, who wasn't even mentioned before, is thrown in and the boys have some retarded fight over her. Its soo aggravating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Updated: Oh great ANOTHER love triangle!!!! Aaahhh this is making me soo mad! This time its with Della and Lee and Steve! Honestly! Oh and Miranda is now talking about ANOTHER guy! The third freaking guy!!! I'm going to explode!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh wait- There's more! A love square actually! Derek (who likes Kylie [and remember, Lucas also likes Kylie]) is now "mostly friends" with his Ex. "Mostly" meaning they can make out if they're happy to see each other *disgusted noise* And then Derek's gonna get mad that Kylies friends with Lucas after Derek said he doesn't wanna be friends with her! AAAAHHHHHH

Another Update: There's also Fredericka who hooked up with Lucas before and clearly still likes him ans tries to get Kylie to back off, and he's all "shes just a friend, i cant kick her out of the werewolf pack cuz shes being smug" and kylies all "I know but baby I'm so jealous of you and her and Derek and ellie and I'm such an idiot because I'm stuck between two guys who each have another romantic interest!" AAAAHHH KILL ME NOW! ITS A FREAKING LOVE PENTAGON!!!

XD Kylie did the same! "Oh Holiday do this and do that, oh Della do this, oh Miranda do that, but me? I'm gonna keep whining over two different guys and their girlfriends" *snorts*

@Tia...yeah besides the romance I like it. I liked the way it was written. It seemed kinda like it was in the first person POV when it was actually in the 3rd

Alva | 219 comments Why is everyone first expected to be good and an alley, then discovered to be bad and spying and then suddenly crawling back, begging to be forgiven and everyone's like:"There's nothing to forgive. Loooooveeeeeee"
It's so KGSIBDTOVXROPGDNTDKTWV! I'm so frustrated! And it doesn't help that everyone's trying to sacrifice oneself. I mean,... JFDIFWIFEUDEIGUPNVD
