((Sweet, my own flock ^.^))Jev adjusted his cheap avaitors as he surveyed the desert landscape of Arizona. They'd been fortunate to find this cave a few days ago, it was good cover from the erasers that were constantly on their tails. He watched as the sun began to rise, enjoying this peacful moment of beauty.
Alyssa woke up and she quickly looked around, seeing Jev watching the sunrise. She quickly grabbed her sketch pad and rushed over to him. "Did I miss it? The sunrise?"
"Nope," Jev answered, glancing over at Alyssa before turning back to scan the area. The sun was just starting to climb up, casting a brilliant light over the desert.
"Good!" She beamed and plopped down on the cave floor next to his feet, beginning to sketch the sunset.
((I FINISHED HUSH, HUSH!))
((I FINISHED HUSH, HUSH!))
((Did you love it?!))Jev grinned as he glanced down at Alyssa as she began to draw. He was glade he'd been able to get her that sketch pad the last time they'd been in a town, since he knew how much she loved drawing.
Alyssa glanced back up at the sunrise every few minutes as she added more details to her picture.
((YESSS!! I might've...Ummm....accidentally flung the book across my math classroom from fangirling too hard on the last page when they kissed!! XD))
((YESSS!! I might've...Ummm....accidentally flung the book across my math classroom from fangirling too hard on the last page when they kissed!! XD))
((Haha, sweet! I absolutely adore that series XD))Jev crouched down on top of the boulder he had been standing on to get a closer look at Alyssa's drawing. "You've got a real talent for that." he commented before looking back out over their surroundings.
((I love it so far!!))
Alyssa grinned and her cheeks tinted pink slightly. "Thanks."
Alyssa grinned and her cheeks tinted pink slightly. "Thanks."
((Nice :D))Now that the sun was well up, Jev rolled his shoulders and let his wings extend slowly. The warmth from the sun felt great on his wings. Since it was getting close to fall the nights in the desert were cold, but the days were pretty hot. So he enjoyed the afternoons and morning best.
Alyssa grinned and she colored in her picture in her sketchbook. "I know that I've said this a million times, but thank you so much for the new sketchbook Jev! I love it!"
"You're welcome, but I'd thank the poor kid who is probably wondering where his book is." Jev said, grinning faintly. Sure, he felt bad for having to steal it, but when you're always on the run and don't have much money, you've got to do what you've got to do.
She giggled and looked out of the cave. "Thank you, you random kid who's sketchbook I have!" Alyssa called out into the desert.
Jev rolled his eyes, grinning as he shook his head slowly. Now that it was morning they'd have to find food. He remembered a small town only an hour or so away that they'd have to check out.
Alyssa beamed proudly but she was interrupted by her stomach growling loudly.
Shiloh, who had finally fallen asleep inside on the cave floor, awoke when she heard someone yelling. Though, she didnt panic, the tone of voice didnt imply danger. She groaned as she sat up, her muscles creaking. "Stupid cave floor, hard and cold. Dusty too," she muttered to herself. Inhaling this dust couldnt be good for the lungs. Her bones cracked as she stood up and rubbed her eyes with the back of her hands. "Whats with the yelling?" she called out tiredly.
Jev sighed, "Looks like little miss sunshine is awake," he mumbled softly, a smirk clear on his lips. He liked Shiloh, she was a strong person and someone he trusted completely. Perhaps that's why she was is right hand women. Though he had to admit her moods got annoying sometimes, but he always loved messing with her.
Even from inside the cave, she could hear Jev's voice. Not the first thing she wanted to hear waking up. But you cant wake up to a waterfall every morning can you? Shiloh grumbled to herself as she dusted red off of her jeans and walked to the cave entrance. She gave Jev a glare before sitting down a few feet from him and Alyssa. "Shut up," she grumbled, running a hand through her hair to push it out of her face. She knew he was messing with her, so her response was blunt.
"Morning!" Alyssa chimed happily.
"Love you too, Doll." Jev said, smriking as he glanced at Shiloh out of the corner of his eyes. "Sleep well I presume?" he asked sarcastically.
((Ya got another flock member now! ^^))King laid in the cave, staring at the darkness that clouded his vision. He sighed. Why did life hate him so much? He had nothing left for him, or so he thought. So why was he still alive? He had always aske himself this, but never found an answer. He sat up and used his echolocation to find the others, "Guys! When are we goin to get food?" He asked, standing up and walking over. His eyes were a dull, baby blue that were glazed over.
"Soon, hopefully." Alyssa said softly and she looked at Jev for an answer.
Shiloh shrugged and grinned at Jev before pushing the sleeves of her shirt to her elbows. She nodded in acknowledgement of Alyssa. "Fantastic," she replied to Jev slowly. "Thank you for being so concerned for my well being." She looked at King and shrugged again. "Not sure, I think I can head out soon and grab some if need be."
King grinned, "That's good, I'm getting kind of hungry..." He coughed at all the dust, putting a hand over his mouth and closing his eyes. "It's too-" he was cut off when he coughed again, "-too dusty..."
"Yeah, it is!" Alyssa agreed. "Way too dusty."
"We can all go get some food soon. There's a town about half an hour from here, Im sure we'll find something to eat there." Jev said, ignoring Shiloh's sarcastic remark. Jupming down from the boulder he'd been perched on, he looked at everyone. "I know it sucks here, but at least it's shelter." he said, trying to stay possitive about their current living space.
King coughed again, "Jev, this place makes my throat hurt. You're under-exaggerating." He sighed, putting his hand over his mouth again. "Why does life hate me?"
"Yeah. We should just be glad that we have a place to stay." Alyssa said optimistically.
"Sorry dude," Jev said with a shrug, "I'll keep my eye out for a new place." he said, feeling bad for him. Though this was much better then living in the School.
Shiloh frowned, cocking her head to the side slightly. She stood up and went over to King. "Do we have water?" she asked no one in particular, the question open for anyone to answer. She patted Kings back gently before going into the cave to see if they had any left over bottles of water or food.
"There should be a few full bottles left," Jev answered, following Shiloh into the cave. "Check my back-pack." he said.
King sighed and laid back on the floor of the cave, "I hate this cave, but it is better than being in a cage..." He yawned, closing his eyes.
Shiloh nodded and found Jev's backpack easily. She opened it, and sure enough, sitting on top, was a water bottle half full. "I think this will do," she said and closed the bag back up.
Alyssa went over to her bag and she put her sketch pad away.
Jev looked through backpack, looking for "his" wallet. Once he found it he check to see how much money it still held. "Looks like we've got enough to eat." he said, stuffing the wallet in his back pocket. "We can leave when you guys are ready."
Alyssa quickly braided her hair into a messy side braid and she tied her converse. She wore shorts and a cute tank top with an American flag on it. "I'm ready!"
King got up and yawned, "Let's go then," he said, rubbing his eye tiredly. "Some fresh air will do is some good."
Shiloh nodded to Jev before going over to King and handing him the water bottle. "Alright, then lets get going," she said before walking to where she had slept and grabbing her own bag. Basically empty, but it made a nice pillow. She had a feeling she was going to refill it anyway soon.
Jev shouldered his bag. "Make sure you grab your stuff, no one wants to stay here anyways." he added before spreading out his wings and jumping off the side of the cave mouth.
Shiloh knew Jev could be short tempered, so she didnt say remarks that were bubbling in her mind. Instead, she shrugged and slipped her bag over her narrow shoulder, taking off. Her wings spread out, catching her before she could fall.
She pulled on her backpack before running out of the cave and spreading out her wings.
Jev adjusted their course towards the town, so they were flying with the sun at their backs. "Lets see if we can find a diner to eat at, then we can hit up a gas station for food for the road." he said to Shiloh, flying up beside her.
Alyssa flipped around slightly as she flew behind Jev.
"Sounds good," Shiloh said looking at Jev and nodded. "Might take a little more then half an hour," she guessed, they didnt seem to be by much civilization. She shrugged, "Who knows, I could be wrong. A town may be closer then I think."
"I'd say fourty-five minutes, give or take. I remember seeing a small town on the way here." Jev said, glancing back at Alyssa and King to make sure they were following.
Alyssa flapped her wings as she followed them.
Shiloh tried to think if she saw a town as they flew over the desert. She nodded thoughtfully, "I think I know where your talking about," she said.
"Its not much of a town, probably only one gas station and maybe a few houses, but it'll do." Jev said, adjusting his wings to angle him toward the town more precisely.
She adjusted her wings as well to follow Jev and Shiloh.
