Kara wore a scowl as she pushed her way out of the restaurant and onto the sidewalk. Not one of her most dignified exits, but she needed to get out. The crisp night air hit her face as if it were trying to cool her raging temper. It was always the same thing with them. If John wasn't taunting her with the internship, Emma was dropping scientific journals in her lap and God help her if they were ever together. Tonight was supposed to be a nice dinner, not some sort of intervention. Kara's aunt and uncle had been under the illusion that they could use her parents to back their argument. She wasn't stupid. Kara had always know her parents wanted her to follow in their foot steps. For a while, she wanted the same thing, but that was before she knew how risky it could be, to hold someone's life in your hands. It could be as simple as not noticing an allergy and then they were gone. Kara didn't think she could handle that.
Sighing, she slid her arms through her coat sleeves and made her way down the sidewalk.
Blue scales down the building, in moments his feet hit the floor. He got the job done hours ago and dropped off the stolen items worth millions with the people that wanted the damn thing. Blue has always has a thing for scaleing up and down buildings, especailly down. He loves the rush. Then again that's why he steals. Blue does what he does because A-He's fucking brilliant at it and B-because Blue likes to steal. The rush is worth more than any money they could give him. The more difficult or dangerous the better. They transffered the money into one of his accounts before he made the drop off. Always get the money up front, Jones always said, that's the first rule of any buisness arrangement like this one. Made Blue feel like a prostitute for a while at first, but he understood it. Blue's slept with plenty of people, he'll have sex with anyone, man or woman, to complete a job.
Blue walks down a few side streets, makes sure to loose that damn tail who's been following him. Being as wanted as Blue is means that someone is always following him. Blue takes his hands out of his leather jacket pockets, he dressed all in black, and he takes off his black gloves now that the job is completely done with. His next job is Russia, he'll have to leave soon.

Kara zipped her coat all the way up, trying to cover as much of her face with the collar as she could while she shoved her hands in her pockets. For a moment, she wishes she had just gone to her car so she could at least be warm while she sulked, but she hadn't been thinking of how cold it would be when she had started off in the opposite direction. Frowning at her poor choice, she kept her gaze trained on the sidewalk in front of her, hardly paying attention to where she was going-- yet another bad choice. She didn't spend much time in the city. It was too loud and busy for her taste. When she looked up again, she couldn't see the restaurant behind her. "Shit," she hissed under her breath, looking around a little frantically to try to get her barrings.
Blue moves swiftly from shadow to shadow, he has to meet someone tonight before he leaves for Berlin. Blue's mind momentarily goes back to his dying father. He will never see the man again, not alive. If you can really call being hooked up to a life support machine and a crap load of tubes living. Blue keeps his dark haired head down and does his best to blend in with the darkness all around him, there are only a few people on these kinds of streets, it isn't the kind of place you'd want to be cornered in. He almost misses her, but that feeling, that strange natural power inside him that he's had since birth unfurls and alerts him to her presence.
The area around her is unrecognizable and she must sound like a sailor from the way she is muttering every curse under the sun that she can think of. Kara is about to take her phone out, but is relieved when she sees a familiar face coming towards her. Well maybe relieved isn't the right word."Blue?" she said a little hesitantly. Kara wasn't so sure she wanted to be around the man, especially after his odd behavior at the hospital. If he could help her, though, it would probably be better than having to call her uncle for help. She had far too much pride for that.
Blue only pauses for a moment before moving forward quickly and wraping a hand around Kara's wrist. How she'd managed to get into this part of the city without realising he has no idea, but he can't leave her alone. Blue can already feel eyes on them, more likely eyes that were on Kara, white hot anger builds inside him at the thought of what they could have done to her. Blue pulls her close to him and puts a firm and strong arms around her shoulders, holding her close protectively, sending off 'fuck off' vibes like they're going out of style. He leans down and whispers,
"Stay close to me Kara. I knew you were attracted to danger, but bloody hell, one more minute around here alone at night and you could have been....just keep walking, where is it you're trying to get to?"
"Stay close to me Kara. I knew you were attracted to danger, but bloody hell, one more minute around here alone at night and you could have been....just keep walking, where is it you're trying to get to?"
Kara's mouth dropped opened to demand just what he was doing when he grabbed her wrist. Who did this guy think he was? When Blue's arm went around her, Kara's first instinct was to pull away, but the looks that they were receiving from the people around them, she found herself shrinking into him. She began to focus on the words being muttered into her ear, frowning. "My car. It's in the Twisted Willow parking lot," she replied, lips thinning in the corners. "If this place is so bad, then what are you doing here?" she demanded, figuring she shouldn't be getting into it with him right now, but she couldn't help it.
Blue almost laughs at Kara's words. He gives every single person who looks anywhere close to Kara a look that promises severe pain and zero mercy. He knows where she's talking about and begins to walk them both there, still keeping her close to him.
"I'm here because i had a job to do nearby. The reason i can be in this place alone is because I'm the most dangerous fucking person here, and they all know it. So stop being such a drama princess and use the brain i know you have" Blue answers, deadly calm, his voice smooth and deep. He isn't going to argue with this girl, it was stupid of her to be in a place like this alone at night and he knows that she knows it.

Kara wrinkled her nose at the immaturity of his name calling, but she fell silent. Her mind began running through the infinite amount of shady jobs he could have been doing in a place like this. Once again, she wished she had just gone to her car in the first place. She could be home right now sitting in silence instead of being escorted by some stranger with a superiority complex. By the weight of his arm on her shoulders, though, she could tell he wasn't totally conceited.
When they reach her car only then does Blue let his arm fall away from Kara. He can tell she resented having him walk her here like that, and that she didn't like him calling her out on doing something stupid and reckless. Blue can also tell that Kara is smart enough to understand what could have happened so he doesn't say anything about it. Blue regards Kara for a moment, he really needs to go meet one of his handlers and get that plane. Pale blue eyes burning he says,
"'Thank you Blue, for saving me', 'You're welcome Kara'. Play nice child.", he knows she's already irritated, so pushing her can only end badly, but the girl is amusing when angry, still very pretty too.
"What were you trying to prove with that stunt Kara? Seriously? Have a fight with your uncle did you? For the love of hell, next time just stomp your foot and demand a pony like everyone else" he goes for humour, guessing she'll take it far too seriously once again.

Kara's eyes narrowed at his word and she stepped away from Blue, putting a wide distance in between them. "Look, I appreciate you helping me find my way back, but you don't have to be such a dick about it. I never asked for your help anyway. I didn't grill you about what you were doing back there, so what gives you the right to think you can demand any answers from me. You don't know my family, you don't even know who I am, so next time you think of trying to help me, just safe yourself sometime and forget it," she snapped before turning away from him, digging her car keys out of her pocket, the cluster of metal cold against her skin.
Blue resists the urge to laugh once again, instead rolling his eyes lightly and nodding along with her mini rant. He knew she would take all the wrong things seriously. He places a hand over his heart, throws his head back and shouts,
"OH THE DRAMA, OH THE AWFUL LIVES WE LEAD. YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND ME" he moves back away from the car and spins around and around in circles as he says the words.
He stops and strides back over Kara, his expression intense and again slightly amused,
"You know that's what you sound like right. Please stop, i'm alergic to teen angst. You had no right to ask me what i was doing because I wasn't the one who was almost bloody raped/mugged/killed, or all three, because thats what those nice people wanted to do Kara, people like that don't stare at a pretty girl alone at night for funsies. Just remember that, alright, unless you have a death wish, if you do then i apolagise for getting in your way". Blue nods once more and begins to walk away from her, for the seconds time in 24 hours.

Kara gripped her keys so tightly she thought the ridges would break skin as she unlocked her car. It wasn't like she had tried to get lost. Besides, why did he care whether or not something horrible happened to her. He didn't know her, she didn't know him, and Blue certainly didn't seem like a good Samaritan. It wasn't her fault that her feet had taken to her an unsatisfactory part of the city. Kara was about to give him a mouthful, but when she saw his back to her, she called back just to spite him, "Apology no accepted!" Grumbling to herself, she climbed into her car.
((i don't know. i know you suggested them getting close, but that doesn't seem to be happening just yet, though we could probably move on. maybe some of skeevy people out on the street saw the two together and figured something was going on between them while Blue was supposed to be finishing his job and that leads to some kind of trouble.))
(Yeah. I mean, i was thinking that Blue isn't the type of person to give information freely, and Kara seems to be a bit stubborn to. Thats why i suggested the semi-kidnap situation where he takes her away because then they'll be forced to spend time together and won't be able to walk away like they've been doing. That's what happens in, like, every romance book including a bad boy and a independant good girl)
((well, that's cuz the idea seems to work most of the time ^-^ If it's too cliche, we can think of something else, though))
(Lets stick with cliche, if we go too complicated we'll just end up stopping half way through. If thats ok with you, if you have another idea you'd rather do just say so x)
((i just wanted to make sure it wasn't too cliche, i'm totally cool with it :) So where should we start?))
(Are time jumping? Because Blue has a job in Germany, he isn't meant to come back. So we'd need to do this by the next day x)
((alrighty then. so same night? i don't know how to get them together, though. maybe it happens right before he is about to leave? i don't know))
(Hmmm, yeah. She gets in her car and drives home. Blue gets a call, or text, warning him about people going after the girl he was with. He has a few enemies so he'll know its true. Then he goes to her home and stops them from killing her, probably by killing them.He tells her to pack a bag and that they have to go. Thats just the basic idea i've got going atm. x)
((sounds good to me. so do you wanna make a thread for Kara's home or something and just continue there?))
