.....

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((I'll just go ahead and post...))

Kara was still muttering obscenities under her breath as she tossed her keys onto the counter with a loud clatter. The rest of the house was totally silent, much to her relief. The entire drive home, Blue's words had been replaying in her head, right down to his irritating tone. Kara didn't believe it was possible for someone to get on a stranger's nerves so easily and in such a short time, but it was obvious that Blue was something special, just not necessarily in a good way.
Sighing, she kicked off her shoes and shrugged off her jacket, reaching for the remote to turn on the television, hoping it would drown out the voice in her head.

Blue gets into the car and turns to Prophet, an old friend who's in EE, a merc with somewhat good intentions. He technically works for the gouvernment, but he's a merc, he kills people for a living, how good can that ever be. Prophet and Blue met a while ago, when Prophet was undercover working for a crime boss in New York. They've had each others backs for years, and help out when they need it. They've worked a few jobs together, legal ones, or at least ones supported by EE, which stands for 'Extreme Escapes'. EE is in the same league as the FBI, the CIA and MI6, except EE has less rules and allows for more...creativety on cases.
"I got a call, they saw you with that girl" Prophet drawls, with that look in his grey eyes that says Blue is going to get into some serious shit. Prophet used to be in the military, recon, and then went onto the CIA before joining EE. He's 33 years old and is the only person Blue trusts in the world.
"Is it the St. Patricks?" asks Blue, mentally cursing like hell.
"Nah, Tommy says they might be Spook assholes again" answers Prophet, his ruggedly handsome face passive in the face of danger as always.
"Fuck. Think they'll go after her.....yeah they'll go after her. Come on, lets go, track 'em alright"
"Yeah, got them. This girl better be worth it Blue"

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara stopped on her way to the kitchen as the news on TV switched from economics to a building collapse from earlier in the day. Something about faulty support beams. She forced herself away from the television as the injuries of the wounded were listed. She didn't need to be thinking through treatments right now. Her mind was always trying to trick her, betray her into giving in to her uncle, but she would always pull through. Kara would do what she wanted, not what was expected of her.
Tugging her hair out of it's tight ponytail, she began to rifle through the cabinets in search of something to eat. Being a moody idiot, she had left the restaurant before dinner had been served and all she had eaten for dinner was some mildly stale bread from a basket. If she could just make herself a decent meal, maybe this night would turn around for her.

Prophet drives fast as they track the Spooks to Kara's house. Blue waits for it, know it's coming, but damn if he's going to start the conversation. Then finally,
"Blue, how do you know this girl?" Prophet asks.
Blue's gaze darts over to Prophet for a few moments,
"I don't"
"Idiotic bastard"
"I know"
Prophet just shakes his head in amusement and frustration.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ As Kara opens a cabinet to take down a plate, she hears a dull creak. Frowning, she closed the cabinet door again, hoping it was just the hinge, but when it swings shut silently, her heartbeat increases by a fraction. It's just an old house, she told herself, knowing she was only being paranoid, though her grip on the plate in her hand had her knuckles turning white.
Kara dragged a hand through her hair, silently cursing out Blue for filling her head with thoughts of muggers and killers and rapists(oh my!). Her ears were now tuned in to every noise around her and when she heard the sound of creaking wood yet again, Kara stepped into the middle of the kitchen, ceramic dish in hand as if she could fend of an attacker with it.

Blue and Prophet stop a few streets away from Kara's and get out. Prophet stays in the car, ready for a quick get away when this is all over. Blue can handle a few Spooks. When Blue gets near the house, he see's that the Spooks parked around the corner and that they are most likely already in the house. He gets to the one in the van, pulls him out before he can even yelp and snaps his neck just as fast. Blue heads closer to house, trying to find their point of entry.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara struggles to keep her breathing even as her gaze cuts into the living room, but it is empty, the only noise coming from the television advertising some fast food franchise.
A soft thump comes from behind her and she reels around to come face to face with a man staring down with her with dark, nearly pupil-less eyes. She opens her mouth to let out an involuntary scream, but only the beginning of a yelp escapes before a gloved hand his smashed over her lips and she is shoved back against the refrigerator. In her shock, the plate falls from her hands and shatters against the kitchen floor.
The leather hand covers the lower half of her face and it suffocates her. Kara tries to push the solid mass of man away from her and her terror only rises when her hand brushes against something that feels like the handle of a gun.

Blue gets in through the same window that the Spooks came through. They haven't killed her yet, he can feel that they haven't. Blue keeps to the shadows and snaps another Spooks neck. There are two left. Blue comes down the stairs silently, his movements quick and liquid smooth. He hears the commotion in the kitchen. Blue takes out his gun and shoots one of the Spooks right in the head, a clean shot. The other is holding Kara, a gun to her temple. Spooks aren't stupid, the CIA's moto is 'If you can't kill it, hire it', these men know how to survive, but so does Blue. Blue moves into the room, his gun trained on the last Spook standing. The Spook holds Kara in front of him, his gun still at her head. Blue keeps his eyes on the mans dark face, Blue slides into his merc persona, completely lethal and cold to his core.
"Blue I presume. The agency wants you in for questioning-" begins the Spook.
"They want me in so they can trap me into working for them. I've said before, i'm not interested. Let the girl go, she is nothing, she knows nothing" Blue says, his voice hard as steel with just enough edge to put the deadly promise into his voice.
"Or what?"
"I will kill you"

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara squeezed her eyes shut as she felt the gun being pressed against her skin. She couldn't believe this. What would anyone want to do with her? She was nobody important, she didn't even have decent property. A morbidly monotonous voice in her head mumbled, What a shitty day. Kara's hands were clamped over her would be killer's forearm, but it was clear he wasn't going to budge.
A frown formed on Kara's lips when she heard words being exchanged and her eyes snapped open at the familiar voice. Her gaze focused on the man standing before her, the dull kitchen light reflecting off of his dark hair. "You've got to be kidding me," she said, though it came out in a muffled mess. As thoughts clicked into place, Kara finally figured out that this was probably his fault. Her startled gaze turned into a seething glare as if to say Thanks a lot.

Blue ignores her glare. Again wondering how she can possbily be angry with him instead of worrying about the gun at her bloody head. This girl isn't just niave, she's insane. He makes a mental note to stop saving insane girls in alleys, let the crazies get attacked next time Blue, just keep walking next time. Blue's steely fire eyes stay on the Spook's. The Spook seems pretty arrogant despite Blue's threat. Blue hates that, almost wants to kill him just to wipe that smirk off his face, he's killed for less. Blue puts his finger on the trigger and clicks the safety off on his gun. The Spook keeps eye contanct and cocks the gun against Kara's head. To save Kara he needs a head shot, it'll be risky, but Blue can do it,
"I doubt you'd go through all this for some random girl Blue. She must mean something, it isnt like you to save people for no reason. You're a theif and killer. A very talented one, but still, not exactly white night material. She must know something for you to give a shit" the Spook says almost conversationally, as if they aren't both trained killers who are holding guns.
"Last chance Spook. Let her go, or die" Blue says calmly.
The Spook merely raises an eyebrow,
"You wouldn't risk shooting me, not while i have her so close-"
Blue fires. It's a clean shot through the head. The dead Spook's body crumples to the floor, his gun clattering towards Blue. Blue picks up the Spook's gun and looks up at Kara.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara stood rooted to the spot, feeling as if she had just shed a really heavy coat. She stared down at the dead man on her kitchen floor, blood seeping onto the already stained tiles. Her hands were shaking at her side ever so slightly and Kara gulped, reining in her haywire emotions.
Having been so distracted by the body at her feet, Kara had forgotten about Blue until she felt his gaze baring down on her. She looked right back at him with wide eyes as she fought to correct her shallow breathing. Question after question was flying through her head. Why had someone tried to kill her? How did Blue know she was in trouble? How did he get here in the first place? Why did he save her? Where the hell did her get that gun?
"Care do elaborate?" she asked, forcing down the tremor in her voice.

"No" he answers coldly, still having not shifted away from the lethal man he has to be to kill people so easily without hesitation.
"Prophet has called someone in to take care of the bodies, but we have to move out now or they'll come for you again within the next 12 hours. Get a bag, pack the essentials. Now." Blue shoves one gun into the back of his jeans and the other into a holster inside his leather jacket. Blue has to get her out now or more Spooks will come. Or worse. Most likely both. Blue and Prophet called in a cleaning crew from EE, but they need to be out now.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Bodies? As in more than one? Kara's eyes followed Blue's movements as he stowed away his weapon. She knew this guy was bad news, but he's killed people? Kara didn't even know why she was questioning it. She just saw him shoot a man in the head. She knew she should be thanking him, following his orders without hesitation, but after what she had just seen, he wasn't exactly at the top of her list for people to trust. Granted he did just save her life, but still...
"And just where do you expect me to go?" she demanded slowly, knowing he was probably in no mood for dissent.

Blue moves forward, those lethal pale blue eyes latching onto hers, the intensity of them almost stiffling with their brutal honesty,
"Away, thats all you need to know. They will come for you. The only choice you have is if you want them to come after your family too." he says simply, because it is the truth. Blue makes a call to Prophet,
"Proph, it's done. We're moving out now, be ready." he hangs up. Blue gestures out of the room
"Pack some stuff now, or we leave without it. Your choice Kara"

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara didn't need to see her face to know all of the color had drained from it. Like hell anything was going to happen to her family. Her aunt and uncle were all she had left. Not wanting to put up with his rudeness, Kara silently left the kitchen, dragging out an old backpack from the hall closet before going to her room. She shivered from a draft and she felt a little nauseous when she saw the window beside her bed open.
Striding over, she closed and latched it before grabbing some things from her dresser and stuffing them into her bag. Kara had to remind herself why she was going to God knows accompanied by a madman with a gun. Well, make that two guns.
Pulling her hair back into a ponytail, she left her room in search of her shoes, passing Blue on the way. "You're really not going to tell me where we're going, are you?"

Thats it. Blue grabs hold of Kara's arm. Fuck the cleaning crew, something has to be sorted right now. Blue slams Kara up against the wall, he's still running on that lethal edge of adrenline from both his job and killing four Spooks. Kara needs to understand how serious this is or she'll be a liability. Blue holds her off the ground with ease and gets close enough that their eyes meet,
"Listen to me. You almost died. There's a good chance you still could and i'm the only person willing to protect you. I'm not the hero in this story or any story, but i guess you've figured that out already. I am taking you somewhere safe, if you'd rather stay and die, fine. Grow the fuck up Kara, this isn't a game, not for you. This is my life, i'm sorry that being seen with me got you involved with all this. Get over it, or you will die. Accept the fact that you may never see your family again. No crying, no back talk, no being an idiot just because you're angry at me. The people who's attention you've gotten, many of them will kill you. And they're the merciful ones, a lot of them will take you, torture you for information on me, so the less you knowm the better. Now shut up, or i will leave you on the side of the road, don't think for a second that i'm doing this for any other reason than because i feel it's my resposibilty. You cause real problems, you're gone." Blue pushes away from her, takes hold of her upper arm and takes her out of the house. Prophet is parked out front, the cleaning crew from EE should be here any minute. Blue opens the car door, places Kara inside and then gets into the front. Prophet starts driving before Blue can even close the door.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara felt the air being knocked out of her as she was shoved against the wall for the second time that night and frowned, waiting for him to finish up his rant. It was his responsibility? Why? He sounded way to pissed off for someone who brought this upon himself. He walked away at the hospital and that could have been that, but no. He had decided to help her and that's what had gotten her into this mess. Sure, she was grateful and all, but really? He didn't need to take out his anger on her just because she was having a difficult time accepting that someone wanted her dead. He was used to this, she wasn't.
Before she could say anything, he was dragging her out the door, her shoe laced untied and Kara feared that she would trip and fall, not that that would slow Blue down at all. She resisted the urge to pout like a child and instead turned her attention back to her shoes, a scowl on her face.

They drive silently for about half an hour, which is a small mercy Blue is sure he'll pay for. He expects either Kara or Prophet to ruin the beautiful silence at some point. Blue knows this is his fault, that he shouldn't have been with Kara more than once in such an open area. Especially after just finishing a job. He knows he was harsh with Kara, but he cannot have a girl getting pissy every time he snaps at her. It's not her fault that he's fucked up, but now she's here and they both need to make the best of it. There are countless people all over the world who would love to get ahold of something to hold over Blue. To threaten him with, to blackmail or lure him into a trap. Blue doesn't have personal relationships and this is why. Eventually it is Prophet to breaks the silence,
"You still got that job in Germany Blue?" he asks, his voice deceptively calm. Prophet is one of, if not the, most dangerous man Blue has ever met, as an ex marine he'd need to be, but sometimes Prophet is so deadly calm that it even throws Blue off. Blue takes out the throw away phone, sends a text and then gets rid of the phone out of the window. He turns to Prophet,
"They've offered me 100 grand when i get them the diamond" Blue offers.
Prophet scoffs,
"Since when have you given a shit about the money"
Blue tilts his head,
"I don't, but it's a good deal. I'd be in and out, would only take me a couple of days."
"You taking Miss Bones with you to Germany, she can be your back up, nancy drew style" Prophet says, dead pan, one dark blond eyebrow raised.
"Fuck off Prophet. I'm meant to leave tonight, but i have till the end of the month. This will be sorted by then" replies Blue, hoping to end this conversation.
"Oh, alright. Didn't realise you found yourself a genie, because three wishes is the only bloody way this will be sorted by the end of this lifetime, let alone this month" replies Prophet, still casual as hell, a bit of sarcasm creeping into his voice now though.
Blue runs a frustrated hand through his black hair and says nothing for a moment.
"I'll sort it" he says finally.
"Yeah, i know"
"It will be fine."
"Alright. So, when we gettin on this flying pig of yours"
"Shut up and drive sarcastic arsehole"
Prophet just chuckles to himself and says nothing.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara straightened up and rested her head against the cold window. Her demeanor gave off the impression that she was sulking, though she was listening to every word that passed between the men up front. Kara got the feeling the only information she would get would be obtained through eavesdropping because it was clear that Blue wasn't going to give her anything.
Kara tried to figure out just what Blue was. He was a killer, that she knew for sure. Something about a diamond? Right, he was a thief, too. The thug from her kitchen had said as much. So here she was, with a thieving murderer and yet another stranger that gave her the creeps.
Germany. What if Kara didn't want to go to Germany? She didn't have a passport on her. Then again, for someone as resourceful as her escort here, she shouldn't need to worry, yet that's all she seemed to be able to do.
"What the fuck am I supposed to do in Germany?" she inquired, finally speaking up.

Blue sighs and looks at Prophet, he isn't sure what he's looking for but he doesn't get it as Prophet only shrugs in an 'she's your liability' kind of gesture. Blue turns in his seat fixing her with his blue eyes, he's feels a lot more calm than before, the adreniline high finally waring off some.
"Alright. I'm going to explain some things, but please, know how serious this all is, listen because i will not repeat. I won't give you specific information because then you would be in even more danger than you already are. Yes, i am a very much wanted theif and merc. Prophet works for EE, which stands for Extreme escapes, he works for....the gouvernment, but in more a loose capacity, also a mercenary, a very good one. Those people at your house were Spooks, or CIA agents to you. They've been after me for a while, they want to trap me into working for them as i refuse to do. I did my last job for the Albanian maffia, and they are some bad fuckers, trust me on that. The FBI, MI6 and MI5 and VD are after me. VD is an excusive world wide global protection agency against terrorists and world wars ect ect. The St. Patricks are also one of my more criminal-esk clients, and control main parts of the weapons and drug trade in Russia and Germany. I'm meant to steal a very rare dimond worth millions, possibly even billions. There are a lot of people who want me dead, but most of them want me to work for them. They would use you to get to me so i'm protecting you for both our benefits. Your family will be safe as long as you aren't there, i've sent out a call to destroy your personal files. You no longer exist. Welcome to my world Kara, get comfy, you'll be staying a while"

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ A frown seemed to be permanently curved on her lips. The CIA tried to kill her from walking down the street with some guy who worked for the mafia and was wanted by too many organizations for her to remember all at once. Most of what Blue had said went through one ear and out the other. "Good to know," she replied flatly. She wasn't stupid, she knew Blue was in some deep shit if he was caught, hell, she was on people's hit list because she associated with him. Who wouldn't take this seriously? She didn't even technically exist anymore, things can't get much more serious than that.
"So, what? I'm just supposed to tag along where ever you go for the rest of my life?"

Blue arches a dark eyebrow,
"This life didn't come with a manual love. Thats why i like it. I don't work for anyone long term for a reason. You'll never have a normal life again, that much i can promise you. Worse case scenario, you get stolen away by one the organisations, or one of my enemies, that wants me. Or they just kill you on sight. Best case scenario, you decide you'd rather not spend your whole life running and i could hook you up with a job. With EE most likely, youd have to train for it, hard as fuck training. But that's your choice, and i have quite a few things to sort out first. Just keep it together long enough for me to get things sorted and then we can make some real descisions about your future" Blue answers honestly. He can't promise much more than that, his life is a dangerous one. A job with EE would be dangerous as hell, but he won't lie, learning how to defend herself and become a hard as nails merc is the best option. He won't force it on her though, if Kara wants a normal-ish life somewhere he'll do his best to make it happen.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara's lips thinned. She didn't like not knowing what to do. She certainly didn't want a life of following Blue around. She couldn't stand him during the few, short lived encounters they'd had and now they were stuck together. "Keep it together, got it," she answered quietly, turning her gaze back to the window. Those damn eyes of his were too intense, even if he was just looking at her.
"I'll shut up, now, I'm sure you don't want me pestering you anymore," she said.

Blue frown for a moment, he knows this is his fault. Without thinking Blue reaches out and takes Kara's hand in his, his thumb softly smoothing over the side of her hand. She looks at him, idignation lighting up in her eyes, his bue eyes catch hers as he says,
"I don't mind you pestering me. I'm sorry Kara. I didn't mean it before, i do care, i never meant to put you danger. I promise i won't let anyone hurt you for as long as i live" he nods once more before letting goand turning around. Blue looks forward at the road, he can feel Prophet's raised eyebrow, Blue gives him a look that says loud and clear, 'shut up and fuck off'. Prophet just smirks.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara sat stalk still while his hand was wrapped around hers, frozen under his gaze. She was glad she didn't give in to the the urge to gape like an idiot at his words. It sounded completely different from the cocky words he had spoken to her when they had first met and so far from anything else he had ever said to her, she hardly believed him. Why should she? He's a liar. She doubted Blue was even his real name. Who named their kid that, anyway?
Her hand was left cold when it lost contact to his warm skin and it pushed her to speak up. "Okay," she answered quietly, mentally cursing herself. Real eloquent, Kara. Nicely done.

The rest of their drive is quite enough. Blue doesn't says anything more, thinking he'll just land himself in even more shit. Prophet keeps glancing at him and Blue can't stop himself from looking at Kara every now and again. He isn't really worried, people have been after Blue since he was 16, he can handle this. They get to the old safe house inthe early hours of the morning. The place is out in the middle of nowhere but is also close enough to the airport for tomorrow. Prophet parks outside and gets out, Blue does as well.
"I'll do the sweep" says Prophet, Blue nods and lets Proph do his thing. This is a secret safe house for just Blue and proph, but that doesn't mean they won't check it out first to be sure. Blue opens up Kara's door and gestures for her to get out. After about ten minutes Prophet nods at him from the porch.
"Come on then, you'll be safe here for a while" he says.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara closed her eyes, leaning her head against the window. The silence was bliss, almost peaceful, but that was obviously an illusion. Her mind began to replay the events of the day, but she quickly banished the thoughts. Experiencing the scenarios once was enough for her, thank you very much.
When her head finally cleared and her pulse slowed for the first time in hours, Kara felt herself drifting off in a sort of half sleep until the car stopped. As relaxed as she was, she had decided to take her own sweet time getting out of the car, but Blue clearly had other plans. Had she not been wearing her seat belt, she would have fallen right out of the car.
Rubbing exhaustion from her eyes, Kara grabbed her bag from the floor of the car and stepped out. She squinted up at the house. She had no idea where she was, but Kara figured she should just get used to it. Yawning, she slung her bag over her shoulder and followed Blue without a word.

Once inside the safe house Prophet hands Blue a phone, Blue barely resists the urge to grown.
"It's Tommy isn't it?" asks Blue, Prophet just smirks in that way that makes Blue wants to deck him. Blue takes the phone and then turns to Kara, he meets her gaze steadily,
"Stay here with Prophet, do as he says. I'm just going to be outside...taking a call". He leaves before either Prophet or Kara can say anything, phone at his ear.

Prophet watches the girl, she seems tired, but her hackles are very firmly risen. He leans against the living room wall, thick arms crossed over his broad chest,
"Is there anything you want to ask? Can't promise to answer, but you can ask" he says, his voice low, gritty, with a sothern twang from growing up in texas for most of his childhood.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara didn't respond to Blue. She knew she was stubborn and her exhaustion only enhanced it, but she wasn't going to let him tell her what to do. Not wanting him to throw another hissy fit, she decided not to make a remark that would piss him off.
She took a good look at Prophet, mirroring his stance. She really just wanted to go to bed. Kara doubted she would be able to get anything out of him, but it was worth a shot. Sleep could wait. She decided against asking where they were, knowing he wouldn't bother to answer, but she couldn't help but voice a question that had been in her head. "Why was Blue in Colbie in the first place? I mean, he said his dad was dying, but he doesn't exactly seem like a very sentimental guy."

Prophet smiles slightly, he tilts his head, considering his answer. Prophet is even taller than Blue and towers over the girl. Prophet is a killer, no point arguing about that, but between the two of them, Prophet is suprisingly the kinder less rough edged man. Together they've always been chaos meets destruction, hail and lightening, darkness and shadows. When a tornado meets a volcano, nothing is safe. Phil Masters, Head of EE, said once to them. Eventually Prophet drawls honestly and confidently,
"Blue is a complicated man. He's unpredictable and as a teenager he was dangerously reckless. His father caused a lot of damage. But we can't always choose how we feel. Blue is the cleverist, most dangerous and infuriating bastards i have ever met. I trust him with my life. He's not an easy man to like, and understanding him is pretty much pontless, but you can trust him to keep his word. If he promises you something he'll do it, no matter what."

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara assumed this was supposed to make her feel better. She could trust him, and he was at least an honest liar. She still didn't want to trust them, though. She wanted to be in bed and asleep, in her own home without people trying to kill her, but that wasn't going to happen.
"Who's Tommy?" she inquired, hoping she wasn't pushing her luck. Prophet had only answered one question, but she wondered if it was better to quit while she was ahead. Kara quickly dismissed the thought, hungry for answers that she would more than likely not receive.

Prophet can't help but smile slightly at that. How to explain 'Tommy'. Only person who calls him that is Blue, to everyone else he's Special Agent Tom Wilder. Anyone who knows of Tom Wilder also knows he is an infamous MI6 agent. What he is to Blue is a whole other issue.
"Enemy. Lover. Hunter. Ultimate oponant in the game of life. Pick one, it changes almost constantly. Like i said, Blue is a complicated man, and his relationships with anyone and everyone are even more complicated" Prophet says with a shrug. Trying to explain Blue and Tommy to Kara would be like trying to explain the meaning of life to a frog. Mainly because Prophet doesn't even understand it fully.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara sighed, yanking her hair out of her ponytail. "I'll just choose all of the above," she mumbled, readjusting her bag over her shoulder.
"How long are we going to be here?" she asked, not wanting to get comfortable if they were just going to be leaving soon anyway. She wondered if she would ever find a chance for a decent nights sleep again.
By now, everything Prophet was saying to her was a jumbled mess in her head and she doubted she would be able to make sense of it even if she was fully awake.

Prophet gives her look, a look that says, 'don't ask me, i'm just the side kick this time around'. Prophet gestures at the stairs,
"I've checked all over up there, it's clean, no ninja criminals/agents with guns will jump out at you. Accept me. Blue doesn't jump, he prefers the less classy barg in, tuck and roll" Prophet drawls.
Just then Blue come back in, face like thunder. Prophet can tell the call didn't go well, rarely does with Tom on the other end.
"Run, escape to a room before he starts breaking things. Again" Prophet mock whispers at Kara, earning him a scalding blue fire glare from Blue.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara could tell that Prophet was joking, but she considered listening to him as she glanced between the two men, one calm, the other the image of fury. She wanted to get away just so she wouldn't have to deal with Blue's attitude. Kara had seen Blue before when he was not entirely pleased, and she didn't care to be around to see it again. The only problem was she didn't know where to go. Maybe she could just sit it out and he would ignore her.

"You can go upstairs Kara. Use the bathroom if you want, or there's some food in the kitchen if you like" Blue forces out past his anger. Damn Tommy. The man drives Blue insane.

(Sorry for shortness)

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((no worries!))

Kara only gave a half nod, half bob of her head as she went in search of a place to drop her bag and kick off her shoes. She trudged up the stairs and began opening doors, first finding a bathroom, then a bedroom.
Sighing, she slid out of her shoes and dropped her bag on the floor before falling onto the bed on her stomach, face buried in the pillow.

(to after she sleeps, whenever that is)

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((sure, mind starting? i gotta get outta here...))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ ((sounds good))

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara sat up in the unfamiliar bed in the unfamiliar room, rubbing the sleep from her her eyes. The hair was flattened on one side of her head from where it had been resting on the pillow and as she dragged her fingers through the tangled strands the memories began to slowly come back.
Kara groaned, scrubbing her hands over her face, trying to figure out what time it was, but her phone was dead and heavy curtains were drawn over the window. With a heaving sigh, she got to her feet, neglecting to put her shoes back on as she navigated her way back downstairs.

Prophet comes down stairs to see Blue sitting on the sofa staring off into space, his foot tapping to a rythm Prophet remembers from years ago. It is likely that Blue got no sleep last night, he rarely does. The again Blue and Prophet have that in common. For Prophet the nightmares of his time in the military still haunt him and for Blue...well, there's a lot to lose sleep over. Prophet puts the kettle on and sits down next to Blue, his friend's black hair is even wilder than before from him running his hands through it all night, pale blue eyes looking off into the distance, his handsome face set in an expression Prophet recognises as deep thought. Prophet says nothing, allows his friend to come back to this world in his own time.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ From the landing, she could see the two sitting on the couch. Once she reached the bottom of the steps, Kara sat down on the last one and drew her legs up to her chest, looking over at them. "So are either of you going to tell me what we're doing, or should I just make something up?" she asked, not picking up what laid behind their heavy silence. Her slow words made her sound a bit rude. She hated not know what was going on. Something about it didn't agree with her, making her stomach turn into knots.

Prophet looks up slowly at Kara, he wants to tell her not to bother Blue when he's like this. But Prophet knows how much Blue would hate that so he just gestures for her to come into the room properly. Blue doesn't come out of it for another full minute. When Blue does, he stands up and walks away from the sofa until he gets to the mantle. Then he turns around to face both Prophet and Kara, his blue eyes no longer vacant, and now once again perceptive and intense,
"I'm going to Germany. You have a choice, either you come with me and i'll protect you, or I can....or i can put you under the protection of this country's secret service, more specifically MI9. I would put you with EE, but they only take on people they one day hope to employ. That is also an option for later on. You should know if you go with the secret service I will not be able to get you out again, they will own you for life. That's why i don't work for them, they see everyone as something to be used, they would use you to control me for example". Blue thinks back to his conversation with Tommy all about this. Tommy of course insisted she would be safer with SS, but Blue wants her to have a choice, he would want one.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara moved to stand at equal distances away from each of them, arms crossed. She hadn't been aware that she had any real choice. From what it sounded like last night, it was either stick with Blue or die. If she was handed over to MI9, would she ever be able to pick up the semblance of a normal life? There was no chance in hell that would happen if she stuck with Blue, but he was offering her the chance to go with him. He had promised that he would keep her safe and he had proven that he was certainly capable of doing just that. "You really want to give me the choice to go with you?" she asked, slender eyebrow raised. They didn't get along with each other when they spent five minutes together. He really wanted to drag her along with him so they could bicker with each other for the rest of their lives?

Blue moves towards Kara until they are only a few feet apart, he doesn't touch her, but his gaze meets hers. Everything has gotten even more complicated than before, and it was pretty fucked up to begin with. But it was fine, because Blue liked it that way, dangerous and choatic, never boring at the very least. This is Kara's life though, not his, she deserves every choice he can give her,
"I'm giving you this choice because if it were me, i'd want one. Feeling trapped inside your own life is the worst feeling there is. MI9 will put you somewhere, keep you, and then bring you out when they want you for something. That's how it will work, trust me on that if nothing else. But a life with them will be less dangerous than a life with me, that is also certain. I'm not taking you on jobs, that would be ridiculous obviously. Not yet anyway. But i can protect, i have the ability to do so for however long you need it. Your life will never be normal, but you'll never be bored either. I have enough money and even more connections in the world to make sure they won't find you, and even if they did I can protect you. With the Secret service your fate is sealed, but it is the safer option. With me nothing is certain, i can't promise to keep you safe, but i can promise to protect you till my last breath"

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Kara studied him as his words ran in loops through her head. From what she could tell, it sounded like life with MI9 was like living in a cage. She didn't want danger, she wanted a normal life, but god knew she couldn't resist the pull to trouble. Not that sticking around with someone as infuriating as Blue was ideal, but it looked like he was her best shot. "I'll be holding you to that," she told him, looking him in the eye.

Blue nods in acknowlegement of her choice,
"The we'll be leavig later on tonight. Things will be different from now on. I'm going to have to trust you to a certain extent Kara, i need you to use your common sense and listen to me. I'm not saying that be a frutrating bastard, i'm saying it because that's the only way i'll be able to protect you, alright" Blue steps away from her and takes out another throw away phone from his pocket, thinking about calling Tommy but then deciding his silence will be a better 'fuck you'. Blue is pleased in some ways that Kara chose to come with him, it will certainly change things for him, but he keeps his promises. Blue looks back up at Kara,
"Before we go, we have some time. I think you'd prefer it if you had some way to protect yourself, if you're anything like me i mean, then i know you'd rather not be completely dependant on me. So, have you got any experience with a gun?". Blue takes out one of his. Blue usually carrie a few weapons, not just guns, at all times.
