Here's a how-to guide for your convenience.


How-To:

. Write in third person.
. Use correct grammar and spelling.
. Make roleplay posts at least two or three sentences, yet refrain from posting novels.
. Separate paragraphs with blank lines.
. Avoid writing explicit material.
. Unless you have two or more of your own characters interacting, each character should get their own post.
. Track your characters appropriately (see following post).
. Do not post anything out-of-character (OOC).
. Use quotation marks to indicate speech.

Character Tracking: Because this is a complicated, multi-thread roleplay, there has to be a system implemented to be able to track characters and thus story-lines.

When introducing a character to the story or to a topic, place your tracking sentence at the top of the post. When leaving a topic, place your tracking sentence at the bottom post. Separate your tracking sentence from your post with a blank line.

Be sure to use the brackets. They're not parenthesis, they're brackets. And you are using sentences. So capitalize the first letter and character names. (Use whatever name you have in all caps at the top of the character profile and their last name.) You know I am OCD; do this.

When introducing a character for the first time: [Enter Jane Smith.]

EXAMPLE: [Enter Jane Smith.]

When taking a character from a scene: [Exit Jane Smith to the (name of the topic where they are going to).]

EXAMPLE: [Exit Jane Smith to the Gryffindor Common Room.]

When introducing a character to a scene: [Enter Jane Smith from the (name of the topic where they last were), message (the number of the post where you declared they were exiting to this topic).]

EXAMPLE: [Enter Jane Smith from the Great Hall, message 12.]
