Carriage 1: Compartment C
[Enter Sage]
Sage found an empty compartment and went inside. She took all of her bags off the trolley and loaded them onto the luggage racks. She fastened them down so that they wouldn't shift during travel. She picked a seat near the window and adjusted her prefect badge.
Sage suddenly remembered that she left something out at the station. She had left her bag of money. She was definitely going to need that. She stood quickly and swung open the compartment door.

Sage suddenly remembered that she left something out at the station. She had left her bag of money. She was definitely going to need that. She stood quickly and swung open the compartment door.
[Enter Alexa Wong from Platform 9 3/4, message 11.]As she hopped down the corridor happily, Alexa peaked her head inside each compartment, looking for someone to sit with. She didn't really mind who--all of the prefects were cool! So far no luck though: A and B were both empty. As she was about to peak her head inside C, the door suddenly opened and it was all Alexa could do to not collide first with the door and then the person who was rushing out of it. "Whoa!" she called out, her reflexes lightning fast as she dodged back, remembering not to drop Hooty's cage. Seeing who it was, Alexa smiled. "Oh, hey, Sage! What's up? Where are you going?" she asked with a laugh.
Sage's mouth opened in a gasp. "I am SO sorry Alexa! I didn't mean to! I left my money out in the station! Want to help me find it?" asked Sage slightly out of breath from the mini heart-attack she had when almost colliding with Alexa.
"Oh, that's okay, you didn't get me," Alexa replied cheerfully, shaking her head as her multicolored hair moved with it. "You lost your money?" she repeated, blinking her eyes. "Where? Did you check your pockets?" she asked as she peered into Hooty's cage who was more stiff than ever, clearly shaken from the jolt. Or not....
Sage blushed and shook her head. Suddenly she felt what she hadn't before, a weight in her pocket. She pursed her lips together and reached into her pocket. Sure enough, there she felt her money.
"well aren't i the sharpest quill in the box." she said with mock pride fullness. "The money is in my pocket." said Sage hanging her head and walking back into the compartment.

Alexa laughed at Sage's joke and with a happy grin, she nodded emphatically. "Sure, you are! Don't be so hard on yourself." Following the Gryffindor into the compartment, Alexa placed Hooty's cage down on the seat and walked over to peer out the window at the still unmoving scenery. Yep, she definitely wanted to sit by the window. The view was absolutely gorgeous and she loved it, even though she'd seen it five times now. It never got old."So, how was your summer?" Alexa asked Sage as she plopped herself down on the comfortable seat, stretching her skinny legs out in front of her, careful not to the hit the curvy teen opposite her.
Sage followed Alexa but sat across from her. "Oh it was so amazing! My father took me to see the place where they train dragons in Romania. It's really fascinating. Why did you do?" Asked Sage pushing a price of her hair behind her ear. Sage crossed her legs under the table and put her hands in the table in a casual manner.
Alexa's eyes lit up at the mention of dragons. "My brother is a dragon tamer!" she squealed excitedly, jumping back up to her Conversed feet. "You didn't by any chance meet him, did you?" she asked, planting her hands on the table in front of Sage as she leaned forward eagerly. "His name is Zachary Wong. We call him Zac."
Sage smiled at Alexa's excitement. She sat back and tapped her finger on her chin pretending to think about it. Sage wanted to prolon the girls excitement as long as she could with out Alexa cracking.
Shifting on her feet in anticipation, Alexa finally prodded again. "Well? Did you?" The last part came out slightly high pitched as she waited for Sage to respond.
Sage laughed aloud. "Oh, sorry I didn't realize you wanted an answer." She said teasing her. "Yes i did meet him. He was very.... Er... Nice." Said Sage smiling again at Alexa. She raised a brow and wondered what she thought of this news.
"He's awesome!" Alexa argued, wondering if Sage actually didn't like her brother. "You're so lucky you went to Romania this year!" she sighed, sitting back down. "That reminds me: I should write to him." She glanced at Hooty then, who hadn't moved at all. "But my owl hates flying," she confided to Sage, with a slight roll of her eyes.
"You could use mine if you wanted." Said Sage gesturing to Maggs. Maggs flapped his wings and made what could of been taken as a proud noise. "He's a bit small but he is a good flyer." Added Sage as she lifted his cage gingerly onto the table.
"Oh, that's so nice of you, thanks!" Alexa said as she hopped over to where Sage was pulling her owl out of its cage. "I do love Hooty dearly but sometimes I just wish he was more... energetic." Giggling then, Alexa added, "Ma says that I have enough energy for the both of us." She reached out then and gave Maggs a small pet on the head, her currently sparkly green nails winking in the morning light.
"Its not a problem, i'm not going to use him any time soon. Plus, he needs his exercise." Sage mentioned as she set Maggs on the table.
"Don't ya boy?" asked Sage stroking his soft feathers. Maggs hooted happily then flew upward and perched on the luggage rail.
Sage rolled her eyes and said, "show off." in a teasing manner.

Alexa laughed at the owl's preening and sighing, she walked back over to her side of the bench to sit down again, thinking over the letter that she would write to Zac. She hadn't seen him since Christmas and it was now September!"So, your mother is totally cool with your whole magic thing then?" she asked Sage curiously, knowing the girl was a half-blood and if it had been her father taking her to seen dragons, it meant her mother was probably the muggle.
"Yea shes cool with it. She still thinks its a bit weird though. And i guess she feels a little left out sometimes." laughed Sage a little nervously. "My dad and I talk about Quidditch all the time and she just sitts here looking confused."Sage smiled at the girl and cocked her head. "What about your family?" she asked.
Alexa nodded in understanding. She began to swing her feet lightly as she sat, placing her hands underneath her small thighs. "I guess that can be rough for muggles to handle! But I mean, she knew what she was getting into when she married your father, right?" she pointed out with a shrug. When Sage asked about her family, Alexa smiled and replied, "Well, we're all witches and wizards so our house is kind of like a second Hogwarts," she laughed, shaking her head ruefully. "My mom tries to keep order but it's hard for her I think."
[Enter Lori Lazar from Carriage 1 Corridor, Message 3]Lori opened the door to the compartment and ducked her head slightly to walk in. "You guys don't mind if I sit here, do you?" She asked. It didn't really matter if it was okay or not, she could sit wherever she wanted, but she was polite anyways. She shifted her posture slightly, she had put her bags away but still carried Nutella the hedgehog in his cage.
Sage laughed slightly when Alexa said that her mother knew what her mother into. Her mother sort of knew what she was getting into. Her father had done a little magic to ask her to marry him. Let's just say that she was stunned, but she still said yes.
"That's really cool. I wish I could talk to my mom about wizard info world." Said Sage smiling at Alexa. Sage stretched her arms across her chest. The train hadn't even left yet, yet Sge already made a new friend. She hoped, at least, that she had made a new friend.

"Yeah, but I'm sure having a muggle parent is awesome too," Alexa countered sweetly, giving the Gryffindor a grin. "I mean, for once, I'd like to talk about what's going on in the real world, if you know what I mean," she giggled. Glancing up at the newcomer, Alexa smiled when she saw who it was. "Oh, hi, Lori! Yeah, of course there's room. Come on in," she said in a friendly manner, waving an arm out at all the open space. "How are you?" she asked the Slytherin.
"I'm good." Lori said, taking a seat beside Sage so that she was facing Alexa, for the most part, but with enough space so that she could stretch out her long legs under the table. "I got a hedgehog, and Jude got a kitten, but that's really all the news that's news." She shrugged. "How are you two?"
"I'm good." Said sage scooting over a tad so Lori could sit. She sighed almost contently.
Alexa didn't hear anything pass "hedgehog" as she immediately bounced back up from her seat, her almond eyes wide with excitement. "You got a what? Oh, may I see? Please!" she squealed excitedly as the tall Slytherin took her seat. Had it been any other moment in her life, Alexa would have lamented about the fact that both of these girls who were basically her age (well, Lori was a year older but it was only a year!) than her looked like women in comparison to her boyish figure but there was a hedgehog in the room! She squeezed her hands together at her flat chest as she waited for Lori's permission to take a closer look at her pet.
Lori laughed a little, placing the cage on her lap and opening the door. "Yeah, you can even hold him if you want. His name is Nutella." She said, smiling as she picked up the hedgehog gently and held him out to Alexa. "He gets kind of scared sometimes though." She warned.
Sage's eyes lit up, "Nutella?! I absolutely LOVE that stuff!" Exclaimed Sage as she immediately turned toward where the hedgehog was. "What made you name it that?" She asked, now calm. She was curious at what had made Lori name a Hedgehog after a sweet chocolate spread.
Barely able to control herself, Alexa grinned from ear to ear as she let out a small, high pitched squeal of excitement. "Oh, my gosh, I can't believe how adorable this little guy is!" Gently, she took the hedgehog and then sat down next to Lori, sandwiched between the Slytherin and Sage so that both could see the animal. Crossing her legs, she brought Nutella up to her face and whispered, "Hello."
Lori smiled at Alexa's excitement and briefly explained, "I love Nutella, but Jude- my brother, you know him, right?- named Nutella, after I named his kitten Boo. Kind of like a trade. Both of the names stuck." She was keeping a close eye on Alexa, making sure Nutella was doing okay.
"That's so adorable. I wish I had two pets... Having just one, who is usually away, is no fun." Stated Sage.
"Oh yeah, I know Jude," Alexa replied, still smiling at the hedgehog who didn't seem to mind being scrutinized. "He plays Quidditch--with you, Sage," she laughed, reminding the Gryffindor like she had somehow forgotten. "I've played against him many times. He's good at keeping me at bay." Again, she wasn't sure why she was repeating this information. She just liked to talk. "How is he?" Alexa asked in a friendly manner.
"He's good." Lori said, then added, "He's always good. Kind of unfair, actually. He's ready to kick everyone's butts at Quidditch, too, so I'd warn you to watch out- he's only been practicing non-stop all summer."
"And that's why I'm glad he is on my team." Sage said smiling smuggly. "I think we can actually win the cup this year, I've been practicing a lot over the summer. Have you guys practiced?" Asked Sage raising her eyebrows at the other two girls. Deep in her heart she sort of hoped they hadn't, but she also wanted this year to be fair.
Alexa shrugged as she placed Hazelnut in her lap to stroke the hedgehog. "Yeah, some. But I've been working on my guitar a lot," she admitted. "And Ma enrolled me in street jazz dance--finally! I've been begging for years. Ballet is getting kinda boring. So I've been busy with that too. Oh, and I joined a mathlete group for fun," Alexa laughed.
Lori crinkled her nose. "Ew. Math." She said simply, expressing her views on the subject. "I don't play Quidditch." She reminded Sage, "I do theatre and vocal. I actually-" She broke off to search in her bag for her camera, "Did an audition for a local rendition of Wicked, got the part and donned some green face paint as Elphaba. I have video, too." She smiled and waved the camera.
Sage laughed at Lori's face that she made when Alexa mentioned math. "Right, I keep forgetting." Expressed sage to Lori's reminder."I love that musical! Let's see the vidio!" Exclaimed sage with excitement. She folded her knees under her butt and looked at Lori expectantly.
Alexa giggled at the girls' reaction to mathematics. "What? It's fun!" she insisted as she nuzzled her nose against Nutella's. "Especially logarithm marathons--I kill at that," she told the girls with a nod of her head, bouncing her rainbow colored hair. "Oh, my gosh, I love that play too!" Alexa gushed at Lori's news, bouncing a bit in her seat, waiting for Lori to open the video. "You're so talented, Lori!" she told the tall girl sweetly. "Congratulations on getting the part! You should perform it at Hogwarts!" she laughed happily.
"Yeah, with who?" Lori asked, "I wouldn't get four people to play the main roles, I'd bet 20 galleons on that." She laughed and clicked through her camera photos until she found her favourite video, the one of her singing Defying Gravity. She kept an extra eye on Nutella the entire time.
"You are suuuuper talented Lori! Does your brother sing too?" Asked sage with a girlish giggle. She had a teeny tiny crush on her brother. Right when she first joined the team, she noticed him and almost fell off her broom. That memory made her blush a little bit, she hoped that Lott didn't know Occulmacy yet.
"You are so talented!" Alexa agreed. "And I can help you find people to be in the play with you!" she offered with wide almond eyes as her mouth popped open with all the possibilities of who to ask. Alexa knew almost everyone at school--it was just in her nature to speak to everyone and she was sure she could find some people. "Maybe I could even put a band together to play the music!" she suggested with an excited laugh. She had been wanting to put a band together for eons.
"Yes, my brother sings..." Lori sighed, "And it was super awkward for me because my parents just had to give him the middle name Fiyero." She confided, noticing Sage's giggle. She could tell she liked him, but Lori wasn't going to say anything....yet. "That would be awesome." Lori replied to Alexa, "And hey, if we can throw it together, let's do it!"
"I would love to play a part in the musical! We can get all the houses to come together for it too?" Suggested Sage , thinking of the unity it would bring. "It could be an event that brings all the houses together!" Squealed Sage with excitement. She knew that quidditch drove houses apart, yet here sat three different houses, almost united.
"You would?" Alexa repeated, glancing at Sage. "And your brother sings?" she turned then to Lori, laughing at his middle name. "Oh, I'm gonna call him Fiyero on the field--after I score on him," she grinned, fist pumping the air simultaneously. Wanting to stand up then, Alexa gathered Nutella up and gently placed the hedgehog back in its cage as she then walked over to peek at Hooty. He still hadn't moved. "Imagine if we could pull it off! Lori, you should ask Jude too."
"We could go ask him right now, if you don't mind the chatter of the first years." Lori pointed out, "But we should probably get it approved by the Headmaster first, right?" She asked. "And yeah, Jude definitely sings, and plays guitar. And don't- unless you let me videotape his reaction!" She said, smiling at the thought. "But don't tell a lot of people, he doesn't use his middle name for a reason."
Sage smiles and nodded. "I won't tell anyone." Then she turned to Alexa," who says you are goin to score on him?" She laughed out. She didn't laugh in a rude manner but one of friendliness. She didn't want to start a fight, she just wanted to see if she had a strategy yet.
Alexa giggled as she flipped her rainbow-colored air in a playfully, cheeky manner. "I promise I won't--I'll only use it when I score! And I score on everyone," she said matter-of-factly although not arrogantly. At Lori's suggestion, Alexa argued, "Shouldn't we wait until we reach Hogwarts? I'm sure the other students won't appreciate the Prefects taking up space in their compartments when we have a whole carriage to ourselves--wait! Did you say he plays guitar?" she gasped, grabbing fists of her multicolored hair as her almond eyes went wide again. "Lori! I need a guitarist for my band!" she ejaculated, as if the Slytherin was supposed to know this information.
"You're starting a band and didn't ask me to sing? I'm wounded Alexa, really." Lori said with a pout. "And he probably wouldn't do it, you know. Well he might, but I didn't even know about your band, so don't blame me." Lori added, "And please don't pull your hair out." She looked back over at Sage. "So what do you do? Any special talents?"
"Charms, quidditch, sewing." Listed off Sage on her fingers. Then she added, "singing and a little acting." She was a little pink, due to her blushing. She didn't really like to talk about herself. But, she could min it for now. Especially since she was talking to her crush's sister.
Alexa released her hair with a sheepish grin. "Well, I honestly didn't think about it," she admitted in regards to inviting Lori to sing. "My band is gonna be heavy metal--I don't know if that's your style," she said with a laugh as she shifted on her Conversed feet. "Anyway, I'll bring it up to Jude when I see him unless you wanna ask him for me," she said to the tall Slytherin sweetly. She cocked her head to the side then listening to Sage speak. "Hey, you could be in the play too then, Sage," she pointed out with a smile, forgetting that Sage had already said she wanted to.
Lori laughed. "Heavy metal- that's out there." She commented. Alexa was right, it wasn't her style. She appreciated the music just fine, but preferred to sing things more on a classical spectrum, or at least with a classic feel. "And you can ask Jude, please and thank you." She said to Alexa, then turned to Sage, "And you totally should! A little blonde wig and you could be a fabulous Glinda."

The third compartment of Carriage 1. It can seat eight, but for comfort's sake, usually seats no more than six. This carriage is for prefects and the head boy and head girl only.
