First room on the right when you exit the main stairwell (the one by Reception).

Xantra blew into the room as if ushered there by the wind itself. She had used her key to unlock it, and left the door standing wide open for the boy who should be right behind her. His girlfriend had tangled with a big spider of some kind and was now sick. It would help if she knew more about the spider, but until she could find out, she would do what she could. There were a couple of simple healing spells that should make her more comfortable if nothing else.

The table had been mostly clean already. A flick of her wrist and it was scoured clean by hurricane-strength winds. Very localized winds that didn't touch anything but the surface of the table. She had earned her position as head of her department in the seven years she'd worked here. She was simply the best wind mage on campus.

Andrew walked in and looked around "what should I do with her?" He asked, stepping forward towards the table. He knew she would probably want hi. To set her down but for some reason he did not want to. "Is it okey if I hold her?" He aske somewhat hopefully. he had never really trusted new people, more so adults, they just seemed a bit less trust worthy, in his eyes. "I will put her down if I really have to but I would prefer her with me."

Xantra could practically feel her cold heart melting as the boy spoke. "You really care for her, don't you?" she asked in a whisper.

She spoke louder and more confidently as she began to give him instructions. "Just lay her on the table for me. It shouldn't take me long to examine her. And you're welcome to stay by her side. Just don't get in my way, alright?"

Andrew nodded "yeah, I...I guess so." He really did not know what he was feeling for Olivia, all he knew was that he had something with her and he wanted to know what it was, rather it be love or a small fling, in his eyes she was worth the risk. He sighed and gave in, carefully laying her on the table and taking a step back, watching carefully. "Is she going to go back to her room later?" He whispered. "If so I would be happy to take her" it then I occurred to him that all her stuff was back in the maze, including her room key. Maybe he would just take her to his room for a while, no harm should come of it, atleast not with her in this state.

"Yes, I suppose so. She will need to go somewhere to rest and recover."

Xantra looked over the girl as best she could with the shirt still covering her. "Where was she bitten? I'm not seeing bite marks anywhere." She frowned. "I may have to undress her depending on where she was bitten by the spider."

I'm not even going to ask what they were doing that they were both undressed. I think the poor boy may die of embarrassment if I do.

Andrew frowned I...I am really not sure if she was bitten or not, it seemed to me that she was doing most of the biting" he walked over slowly. "But you can check for a bit if you must" he said softly. "as long as she gets better, that is all I care about" he whispered to Xantra.

"She was doing most of the biting? OH, she's a shifter. Okay, that explains the nudity. Then what part of the spider did she bite?" Xantra asked.

How did I not realize she was a shifter? He likely is one, too. That would explain why they were both undressed. I think I've been away too long. I really should have known she was a shifter. IS a shifter. She's not allowed to die under my care.

Andrew nodded "Yes...we are both shifters" he confirmed before trying to think back to the scene. "Mostly the head and the neck" he said thoughtfully. "She may have bitten elsewhere, its very blurry to me" he admitted. He walked a bit closer to the table and looked down at Olivia. "I should have helped" he added on in a small whisper, this could have been avoided." He shook his head and turned away, not wanting to look this very moment.

"Ah, that could well be the problem. Spiders' poison glands are usually in the head, just above the fangs. Some may be in other places, though. I don't know all that much about spiders. Okay, stand back a bit now. And, um, don't look. This could get gross."

Xantra stood up and waved her hands in the air above the prone girl, muttering indistinct words. After a couple of seconds, the surface of the air just above the girl's skin took on the appearance of a pane of glass. Another second and it began to zoom in, going down through the layers of her skin and blood vessels until dark splotches began to appear. "Ooh, she did swallow a lot of it. I'd hate to have seen this before she shifted. That should have gotten rid of most of this. I bet she didn't realized how much she'd swallowed," she murmured, clicking her tongue.

She murmured a few more words and zoomed in on a single dark blotch. "Well, the good news is, her body is fighting it off." She waved her hands again and the screen disappeared. "I need to know what kind of spider that was before I can do anything more for her. All I can do now is make her comfortable. I'll be right back."

She teleported to her office, returning after less than half a minute with a pillow and two blankets. She laid the items on the table. "I'll let you make her comfortable while I go see if I can find that spider."

Andrew Nodded as he listened before turning around obediently.

He nodded and turned back around, walking over to Olivia . he crouched next to the table, running his fingers through her hair. He looked up when Xantra appeared. "alright....when can I take her back to the room?" he asked, her key is with her stuff in the maze." he accepted the pillow and blankets and began tucking the blanket around her and putting the pillow under her head, his jeans slipped down a little as he reached over her to tuck in the thick blanket.

"I don't know just yet. Let's find out more about that spider, so I know what kind of venom we're dealing with. Then we'll see how long her recovery will take, and I'll be able to let you know when you can take her back to her room. Though if one of you has a single room, that would probably be better. No reason to scare anyone," she said with a wink.

"I'll be right back," she said as she walked over to the bank of windows. They looked over the maze, so she could easily get there. She opened one window and climbed up onto the windowsill. She closed her eyes, murmured a couple of words, and took a step forward. In just a few quick steps, she was over the outer border of the maze.

Andrew sighed as he left, moving to sit next to her on the table. he softly stroked her cheek with his finger "I'm sorry" he whispered softly. He sighed and ran his finger down her neck before pulling back. "I should have been more careful" he said, talking more to himself. "My instincts told me to stay away from that path but I let you go down anyways, I'm so stupid, this always happens, first with Sofia and now you"

Olivia shifted in her sleep, turning her head towards Andrew. She smiled softly as she caught his scent.

Xantra returned to the room via the same window she exited after just a couple of minutes. She hurried back to her patient, smiling widely at the sight of the young man sitting beside her on the table. "She'll be fine. Apparently I wasn't the only one who went looking for that spider. A young drow male was there when I arrived. He assured me the spider's venom would not kill her.

"It is likely she'll feel terrible for a while yet. I don't expect her to wake up for at least half an hour yet. Then she'll probably be weak for several more hours once she does wake up. But she will recover fully. It should be fine to move her.

"You did the right thing bringing her into Reception. Our Magdalena has been trained in what to do in an emergency. The healers who work here on campus can get here far faster than any ambulance."

Andrew made a face "What was he doing away from Sofia?" he asked, the question directed at no one. He did not care where the boy was or what he was doing. "Alright thank you" Andrew said, smiling happily in relief before picking up Olivia "is it alright if I have her bag?" he asked "I am going to take her to my room for now...if that is alright" he said, reaching out his hand from under Olivia to accept the bag. He was planning in his head where he was going to sleep as if he layed in the bed that would be inappropriate....but then again who would know?"

Olivia moaned softly as she was lifted. Her eyelids fluttered, but never fully opened. She soon settled back into a light doze, her head turned towards Andrew's chest.

"Oh, yes, of course," Xantra murmured. She handed over the bag she'd been carrying. "I put most of her clothes, and her knife, back in the back. I fear her pants or skirt are a loss. The young man had used that item to lift the spider's head to examine it. The venom likely destroyed the fabric."

Andrew nodding understanding "Thank you for all your help" he whispered before smiling gratefully "I really appreciated it." He then pulled Olivia as close as possible turning and leaving the room. He looked around, getting a sense of where he was again as the campus was still a bit unfamiliar. After he thought a moment he set out walking for the boy's dorm.

Xantra sighed softly as she cleaned up the supplies she'd been using to work on the shifter. She wanted someone to love her like that. Maybe someday. She laughed softly to herself. She'd been telling herself the very same thing for more years than she would ever admit to anyone. As a half-elf, she looks much younger than she really is.

Once she'd finished cleaning up the room, she left it and locked the door, carrying her supplies out with her. There were lots of new professors here this year, maybe she would have luck with one of them. Probably not, though. Her temper always got in the way.
