@Beth: I know you're busy, but the other members should not be misled because the thread isn't current.
Natalie, I'm not sure what you're talking about. Rebecca is seconding Loraine's nomination, so there's no need to post it again. Unless there's something else I'm missing. :)
Reluctant prophet by Nancy rueYielded captive by dalaina may
Designer bag at the garbage dump by Jackie macgirvin
@Beth: Never mind. Glad to see that a couple other peopel are starting to nominate before it's too late.
I know, I felt bad because I forgot to announce it in News & Updates. Did that this afternoon, so hopefully we'll get a few more :)
I would like to nominate
I got this one for Christmas last year and haven't gotten around to reading it yet! :D

"Cammie, it looks like this one hasn't been out for at least 6 month, but just 5 in January. Can you nominate another? Maybe you can nominate this one later on in 2014 :)
Loraine wrote: "I'd like to nominate While We're Far Apart"I read that one 2 years ago, that is a good one, and lots of material in it for a good discussion.
@Beth: Do you know what time you will announce the group read "winners" today Just curious. I will request them from the library when I get the chance.
Natalie, technically members have thru today to nominate, so I won't announce til tomorrow :) Most likely in the afternoon after church etc
Good afternoon, everyone! Strange to be thinking ahead to January, but it's time to announce the Books of the Month! In January we will be discussing...
While We're Far Apart by Lynn Austin
and
The Reluctant Prophet by Nancy Rue
Two very different reads, which I think is great! Thank you to everyone for nominating, and if yours nomination didn't get picked, make sure you nominate again in February! :)
Looking forward to reading them. I have While We're Far Apart on my kindle. This will start me off on paring down kindle, piles and TBR!

Ooh, I have both of these books on my Kindle and I've really enjoyed both these authors in the past. I'll see if I can squeeze them both in next month :)
My copies of both of these books came in at the library today. Don't know if I will read and discuss them with all of you because they are almost five hundred page each. I have so many other books I want to read that would take so much less time. Sorry I cannot join the discussion. I will try to participate in the others for next year, though.
Natalie there's no pressure to participate in both or either of them. I'm going to definitely read The Reluctant Prophet and will try to read While We're Far Apart since it's been on my to-read list a while but we'll see :)
@Beth: When do you plan to post the thread for February's nominations? I still need to make a decision.
