Infinite Books discussion

Is there a book where you read of a character's death? If you could, would you rather die for them in order to make them live? Who and why?

Augustus waters, from the fault in our stars, because that book made me cry. Or Hannah baker from 13 reasons why cuz she didn't deserve to die :(

I would die for the character L from the death note series, because I love him!!! If he lived, he would discover who Kira is, (well, he already knew but) he would build evidence against him, and then be able to throw Kira in jail and BRING JUSTICE TO THE WORLD!!! MWAHAHAHA- 'Cough cough'. Excuse me, sorry for that...
