21% - This is a really cute story. Intense beginning. I like Caitlin so far. Her Mum would be so stressful to have as a parent. Hope it gets better and better.

48% - I don't know how I feel about this and I am practically half way though it.

(view spoiler)[I don't really like Rogerson - his name included - because we barely know anything about him. I understand Caitlin and how she wants independence from her sister's shadow but is being a cheerleader - something she hates a lot - really changing anything about that? (hide spoiler)]

This book is just going too slow. I want more. More depth into the character there is sooo much potential here but I am finding that none of it is being used in the right way. I am a little disappointed and hope it picks up soon. :)

73% - (view spoiler)[God, I will never understand how girls can deal with being hit. I get hiding it, I get that talking makes it worse, I get all of that - I really do. But I don't get how she can love him. I guess that since I have never been in a relationship before, let alone an abusive one, I'm a hardly one to comment but seriously, Caitlin, he's toxic.

I understand how Caitlin is sick of always being second-best and I love how that is explored during the book.

I like the secondary characters. I like the parents and Rina. I love how realistic this book is. I don't know if I love it though. Its at a solid three stars for me at the moment. (hide spoiler)]

100% - Finished. It ended better than I began. I'll post my thoughts up properly tomorrow. Its 11pm here and I have to go to school tomorrow. Night! :)

(view spoiler)[Caitlin's mother seems especially sensitive and this definitely puts pressure on Caitlin to excel in school like her sister did.

When Rogerson appeared I got the bad vibes already. He seemed to be dealing drugs in the party backyard but Caitlin seems to overlook that and get into his car @_@ (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[My heart is aching for Caitlin. Caitlin's in a downward spiral. Why does she continue to stay with that douchebag?? They never really had any connection but she's convinced she loves him? His violence is becoming more frequent, I'm surprised no one has noticed her covering up more. I hope she realises soon that help is there and she should seek it! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[When Caitlin was abused the last time by Rogerson (the incident where he got taken away by police) I had tears in my eyes. I could feel Caitlin's helplessness while feeling extremely angry at Rogerson for his behaviour.

It felt more complete how Sarah wrote about what happened to Caitlin after everyone found out what Rogerson did to her since many other books tend to skim over the recovery phase. (hide spoiler)]

I've never read anything by her except half of What happened to goodbye

Chapter 3 (view spoiler)[ I find the conversation between Boo & Caitlin, about the barbies, pretty funny. Boo is such a typical feminist and I like the way she's laying it out there for younger Caitlin in a very "black and white" manner. She's promoting woman independence from a young age and I think that's really important. I'm enjoying this so far. I like that Caitlin tried out for the cheerleading squad even though it doesn't really seem like her "thing" I think she'll end up being pretty good at it and I'm sure some drama will arise with the other girls on the team. I won't have a copy for a few days, but then I'll be reading. :)

Chapter 4 (view spoiler)[ I'm surprised she likes the fact that the announcer called her Cass.. I think I'd be kinda mad about that? Why would he do that.. that's messed up and she should be questioning it not thinking of it as a "sign" from Cass (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5 (view spoiler)[ I feel like this relationship has taken off really quickly... They don't even know eachother and they're kissing in public? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 7 (view spoiler)[ This relationship is very interesting to me.. I know people in relationships like that. They don't seem to make sense. Two people who are completely different but somehow find a way to make it work.. We'll see if Caitlin and Rogerson work out in the long run.. I think there will need to be some changes in both of their lives and personalities in order to keep it going (hide spoiler)]

Yah he really is.. Maybe it helps him feel in control of something? He seems to have a pretty bad home life and there's nothing he could do about it.. Same could be said about his OCD cleanliness

64% - I mean... just really not okay. (view spoiler)[ He doesn't even apologize after! It's true what they say.. he is a product of his upbringing. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Rogertson is a tornado waiting to happen and Caitlin needs to stand up for herself. It's heartbreaking, but she's allowing it to happen. They're both to blame at this point. (hide spoiler)]

Finished! Wow that got super emotional there at the end... I definitely cried.. This book was really good, I thoroughly enjoyed it

Chapter 3: (view spoiler)[I kind of feel bad that Kaitlyn took her sisters place while not meaning to. I feel even worse for the parents because they are just hurting Kaitlyn and don't realize it. as they worry about Cassandra, they are hurting Kaitlyn by alienating her. (hide spoiler)]
