Abigale walked through allies, keeping to the shadows.

Alicia walked down an alley. She ran away from home. She needed to find a dark place to stay.

Abigale's skin glistened in the moon light. She heard foot steps. She took a step back into a cavern only she knew about. These allies were like her home. She knew them inside and out.

Alicia saw a girl. "Hello?"

Abigale stayed quite, she listened to the girl's footsteps. Then she walked out into the moonlight.

Alicia jumped. She was startled. "Hello."

Abigale didn't say anything. She looked the girl up and down, "What are you doing?" She said, her voice acusing.

Alicia stiffened. "Need a place to stay." she said, cold and harsh.

Abigale nodded, "Fallow me."

Alicia nodded. She waited for her to lead the way.

Abigale walked into the cavern she had been hiding only a minute ago. It led to a dead end.....or so most thought.

Alicia followed. She looked around along the way.

Abigale smiled. "Pay attention to this if you ever want to find your way again, I don't wander the streets often."

Alicia nodded silently. She studied the area around them.

Abigale touched a stone then another then a third then a forth and finally a fith. a light eluminated it. It was a penticle. The five stones she had touched made a star. Then she lightly drew a circle around the star and it completed it. "It is the sign of witchcraft," She explained. Then she pushed the middle and a small door swung open.

Alicia nodded. "Wiccan."

Abigale nodded, "Not only that but Paganism, it is a wide spread symbol. This is also known as the all seeing eye." Abigale didn't walk in the door but instead shut it and the light died. She drew the same symbol but then she etched an eye in the middle. The door opened into another room, "Magic" she said smiling.

Alicia nodded. "I know."

"Remember, these are the only two symbols you need, share them with no one." Abigale stepped in the room.

Alicia nodded. "Of course." she made a mental note of it and followed Abigale into the room.

Abigale shut the door and said, "Welcome to witch world."

Alicia smiled. "Thank you?"

Abigale explained. "Many beings that practiced witchcraft built this place. It was to keep their religion alive. As you may know, witches as were Jews, they were burned at the stake. Well this was built for them to run away and stay away from people that disaproved of their religion and practices."

Alicia nodded. "Yes I know. My mother was wiccan."

Abigale closed her eyes, "Then why run away?" Abigale closed them tighter, "The police will be in every ally tomorrow, one of my kind will be caught. They will die, no they will be exicuted."

Alicia sighed. "My mom was executed many years ago."

Abigale's eyes flashed open. Her eyes red, then they dulled back to brown, then all the way back to her normal green. "I am sorry." Then she looked the door, she calmly said, "Run." Then the door was knocked on.

Alicia looked back at the door and glared. "No."

Abigale's eyes turned red again, "You are strong, but you don't want to do anything stupid." Abigale looked at the door. She walked over to it and drew a small hole. She looked into it.

Alicia turned to watch her silently.

Abigale smiled, she twisted her hand and a cry was heard on the other side of the door. "All taken care of." Then she said, "How about you go explore the place?"

Alicia stared at the door.

"I didn't kill him, if that's what you are wondering."

Alicia shook her head."no..Who was he?"

Abigale sighed, "Just some boy snooping around, he comes here often. He isn't one of us though. I can tell, he is a betrayer."

Alicia nodded. "I know people like that."

Abigale nodded her head, "He doesn't get it, every time I shock him he thinks it means, come back any time, I turn up the voltage but he still thinks it means come on over here."

Alicia looked down at the ground. "Maybe he is one of us, just looking for a place to hide.."

Abigale shook his head. "No." she left it at that. Alicia would find out about her past sooner or later.

Alicia sighed. She glanced back at that door and then at Abigale.

"Don't ever let outsider's in." Abigale said, "I learned that the hard way."

Alicia nodded sternly.

Abigale smiled and said. "Go around, there are hundreds of rooms, I think I have discovered most of them but there are a few more. Pick one. Just think about what you want in your closet and it will be there."

Alicia smiled. She closed her eyes, and thought.

Abigale walked away, into the kitchen, she began making an herbal tea.

Alicia sighed.What she really wanted would never come back.

Abigale closed her eyes and walked to Alicia. "Here you go, it will help your concentration."

Alicia looked down.

Abigale gave it to her. "Just drink it, it doesn't taste that bad."

Alicia nodded. She trusted Abigale. She took a sip.
