Fantasy Book Club discussion

I've been thinking about reading these.

Do read her books. They're well worth it.

Don't limit yourself to Pern, either.

I've been looking at her books as well. Its always sad to lose an author.

I'd be up for a commemoration read. But what do you have in mind? The Dragonrider series? That comprises 22 novels plus several short stories. Which is a huge undertaking and could be placed in the "Fantasy Book Club Series".

I love her stories. Most of them are on the science fiction side, but with fantasy elements.
Dragonsong was the first book by Anne McCaffrey that I ever read. I just fell for those little dragons. That series and the first three of the Dragonrider books The Dragonriders of Pern are to the fantasy side.


(Psst....... I think Crystal Singer is a beautiful series also, but it's science fiction.)

I thought she had already died... but that tends to happen. Lol. Should've checked the date.

Since her death is old news, I'm going to move this topic to Favorite Authors!

The Dragons of Pern were amongst the very first science fiction/fantasy books I ever read. I believe I was in junior high.
From then on I was hooked on this genre of books. I have been thinking about re-reading them.
I highly recommend Anne McCaffery's books.
