San Tadeo is a form of Saint Thaddeus. A more complete reference would be to Saint Jude Thaddeus, patron saint of lost causes.That's how I've taken it to be used . . .

Thanks - that might actually be a clue. I've read a couple of things in the last year referencing saints that it could've come from. I think Palimpsest is a possibility. There's a character in there that references saints... and bees if I recall correctly.

Has anyone read about San Tadeo in maybe one of Jeff VanderMeer's stories? Or perhaps in Pale Fire? Anywhere else you can think of?
