Colleen (toughandtender) Hey book worms! A while ago a few of us talked about restricting ourselves to the countries of origin and countries the books are set in. We discussed not repeating a country within the period of one year's time. I think to make this easier we should keep track of our variety here. Perhaps we should extend this first year of no repeats to 2015 just to make things easier.

Here's the list so far:

November 2013: Russia, Tatyana Tolstaya's "The Slynx)
December 2013: Japan, Yasunari Kawabata's "Snow Country"
January 2014: Norway, Knut Hamsun's "Hunger"
February 2014: Iran, Mahmoud Dowlatabadi's "The Colonel"

Haha thanks Derek! I made it even better by adding the book titles so those not in the "know" of our upcoming books know which ones to order/put on hold.

Did you delete your videos from your YT channel? I went to see if you did a review of "The Slynx" and found an empty white page. :(

P.S. Thanks for the Zadie Smith "Man VS Corpse"! I'm just getting around to it.

Anne (annelazyk) | 10 comments Quick question--does anyone have an edition recommendation for Hunger? There seem to be quite a lot.

Colleen (toughandtender) Anne,I purchased the W W Worster translation. I had noticed a few versions but I honestly just picked the cover I liked best in this case.
