Jenn This is one of my most favorite books in the entire world! Read it! It's about a young girl who disguises herself as a boy in 1800s London in order to get into the Navy. Lots of adventure! And problems as she gets older with that whole puberty thing we all love! It's very risque in my opinion and lots of innuendos! !!! Get past the boringish beginning and you will be hooked! Adventure, historical fiction, romance it's all there!

Helen I recommend the audiobooks especially.

M.D. Lee I would agree, the audio book is fantastic! All the different voices and characters got me hooked into the whole series, and made it one of my all time favorites.

Maddie Jaques This is one of the only series that I decided I needed for myself because I read them ALL that often. I love all Jacky's adventures and enjoy the historical aspects behind it. I don't think I ever thought it was boring. I'm really interested to see how Meyer ends the series though...I'm a little nervous about not getting to be excited for the new book. I look forward to it every year!

Online Eccentric Librarian The audiobook really elevates the story and places it firmly in its historical context.
