The Atomic Circus discussion

A dead man is found by the sea burned, face down & his hands/feet bound in Dartley. He had been dropped from a high elevation. Caecilius Rex (Police detective, Cae) found him, & let the police know when they arrived.

Angelica Lane (Prison Liaison Officer, former custodial counsellor) & Cae are going to interrogate Redd Richmond who is a criminal back in action. Redd plans on giving the police some names so he can get a reduced sentence.

Charles Alexander Brooks (prison liaison officer) is missing from work. His job description is: Inmate-Police Relations Team, which is a very good reason why someone would want to whack him.

Angelica knew him & thought he might have been using drugs. She commented he usually walks home, but 1 night he got in a white van.
Cae & Kendra & Angelica Lane are taking a boat ride to Dartley Prison to interview Frederick ‘Flash’ Morgan, he’s been there for 3 yrs. Redd Richmond waves at them. Flash is asked about the Atomic Circus which was really a drug ring. They move around a lot & distribute REMEMBER LIFT. The White Van Man is in charge of the operation.
Cae & Kendra Nai (Kingdom’s Special Brigade) confront a druggie on the street & ask him what the password is to the Atomic Circus, this was good for Thursday, but it changes also. They arrest him for possession. The next go to a bathroom stall conversion (Chemical Traders) & several PPL are selling all sorts of concoctions or drugs: BLISS, JOY, LOVE, REMORSE, REMEMBER, POWERFUL, GRAVITY, FORGET, FEAR, RESISTANCE. The place is guarded by the Skin Traders.

The duo find out LIFT is bought at Physical Traders. They need to talk to Leroy, he knows who they are. Kendra is captured & tied up. Cae takes a sample of KNOCKOUT. Jack Lacroix (drug dealer) talks to Cae when he wakes up. They next force PAIN down his mouth & after that LIFT. They force DEATH down Kendra’s mouth.

The Panda Patrol storms the room. Kendra & Cae are rushed to the hospital. Police Chief Damian Jobe comes to visit him. Kendra recovers & also comes & visits him. They discuss the case: what do Flash Morgan & Redd Richmond have in common? Angelica Lane (liaison), it was a trap to kill them both. Kendra & Cae go to the police station & PC Michael Spinner tells them the Chief is on vacation.

The duo later meet up with Angelica & she explains her situation/involvement in the drug sting operation. She claims Police Chief Damian Jobe is trying to kill them. Angelica had been sleeping with him. An assailant comes to Angelica’s apartment to kill her but escapes.

Next stop Police Chief Damian Jobe highly guarded mansion, is he really dead? The house is really Redd Richmond’s, a perfect hideout since he’s in prison.
The duo has a lead on the Atomic Circus; 2 A.M. at Buchanan St. The White Van Man arrives. They meet up with Leroy to make a purchase, he is shot. Police Chief Damian Jobe threatens to shoot Cae. Kendra shoots him.

At the Dartley Police Station lots of PPL are arrested/interrogated. Charles Brooks was drugged/murdered (burnt to a crisp).
Commissioner Max Hardy offers Cae the new Police Chief position, he refuses & is going to suggest Kendra.

I really enjoyed reading this exciting/suspense filled free police book. It has the makings to become a TV series or even a movie. It was very easy to follow, had great characters & story content. I will have to rate it at 5 stars.
