He looks up at the girl from reading his book. "No miss, my name is Jessie, Jessie Lee." He looks back down at his book and continues reading, who cares if he is a tribute? Not him, nor anybody else.

Realizing that he was a bit rude Jessie set his book down and stuck out his hand. "It's a pleasure," he smiled smally.
Jessie smiled and leaned back into his chair. "Have you met our mentor yet?" He asked Lyla.
He shook his head. "I have not," he told her.
Jessie's eyes narrowed a bit and he picked up his book and started reading again. "Interesting," was all he said.
Jessie put his book down on the table and set his elbows on the table resting his chin on his hands. "You first," he said looking Lyla in the eye.
Jessie nodded narrowing his eyes. "Well, I'm fifteen. My parents both died when I was eleven and my only family is my horse Lightning. I enjoy reading and staring at the stars."
"It's alright, I don't mind talking about it any more." Jessie forced a smile, "I'm reading a book my father wrote for me just before he died. He never got to finish it."
He shrugged. "They never showed their love." He smiled opening the book, "I'll only read you a bit." He told her and began to read from it.
"My father was the smartest man I know," Jessie said and marked his page with his index finger. "For a living I am a part time coal miner."
He nodded not wanting to brag or anything. "Only a few," he told her leaning back into his chair.
"I'm sure that our mentor had some things to tend to and will be here soon." Jessie relaxed closing his eyes, "and don't worry about the games. I'm sure you'll do fine."
Jessie smiled. "You have an ally in that arena, Lyla. And his name is Jessie," he promised her.
"I imagine the kitchen car," Jessie opened one eye to look at Lyla. He smiled at her.
Jessie stood up and stretched his back. "Don't mind if I do," he said and gestured for her to go first.
Jessie sat down at one of the many table as nodded to the chef who brought them their food. "Thank you my good man," he said shaking the chefs hand.
Jessie started to eat. He shrugged, "the stars. I have made many many maps about them," he sighed. "The stars are always moving you know, that's what makes them so fascinating."
Jessie choked on his piece of toast making him cough. He cleared his throat, "umm, no girl friends. Girls don't like me very much, my only friend is Lightning."
Jessie cleared his throat one more time and took a drink of his coffee. "I like the sound of that," he said smiling.
"Yep," Jessie watched her walk away. He finished his food and went the way she had gone.
"It's alright,"Jessie murmured trying to calm Lyla down. "It's just a dream, don't worry."
"You're quite welcome," Jessie smiled at her. "I don't usually have nightmares, fact is I don't usually dream." He shrugged, "my life is too boring for me to have dreams."
