The Book of Night Women by Marlon James
A re-read but I listened to it on audio this time.

Classic.
The Street by Ann Petry
Love this book! Couldn't believe I had never heard of it before

Fiction.
A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry
My favorite book all year!

Non-fiction.
Devil in the Grove: Thurgood Marshall, the Groveland Boys, and the Dawn of a New America by Gilbert King
This book should be a movie! Truly.

The Good Lord Bird by James McBride
His writing and storytelling just gets better and better. Loved all of historical fiction books.

This is a classic about post-colonial Trinidad

Thinking of the dystopian books I've read this year...

Wool Omnibus (Silo, #1) was the best I read, but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be.

I concur that The Good Lord Bird and Americanah being the top reads for this genre this year.
