“Let us pick up our books and our pens, they are the most powerful weapons." - Malala Yousafza in her speech to the United Nations.Malala understands the importance of girls' education and she also understands that there is a peaceful means of achieving this goal. With that in mind, she is the perfect candidate for a Nobel Peace Prize, as she is willing and committed to a peaceful means of achieving her goal.
As she said, "I raise up my voice-not so I can shout but so that those without a voice can be heard." Her entire campaign is devoted not to her-but to others. Her selflessness has already helped thousands of girls across the world and will continue to help more.
John's comment to the Nobel Prize committee is very true. I liked how he added things from different interviews. Malala is a perfect candidate for the nobel prize because she fought for what she believed in and let nothing stop her from doing it. She knew that she couldnt fight because she is just a small girl. Instead, she used her education and her knowledge to make a difference. I like how he added that her selflessness helped thousands of girls and will continue to help because this shows that she cares for other peoples education as well.
If I could have spoken to the Nobel Prize committee, I would tell them that Malala is probably the best candidate for the nobel prize. She played a huge role addresing the lack of girls education in Pakistan, and the Taliban interference. With Malala, now many people are informed about the Taliban interference regarding girls education. After Malala recovered from the shooting, she went and talked publicly in many countries, addresing girls education. This shows what kind of person she is, an educated, fearless, heroic girl.
