Ever Dark discussion

It was dark as a girl made her way down the lake shore breathing in hard scared gasps as she looked around for anything a trail something to help her get out of this cursed forest of fears.
She turned again and again searching and watching out for creatures she knew dwelled here for she had a run in with a few.
she held her right arm wincing as scarlet drops poored from the teeth marks on her elbow.
Is there no way out she thought was she doomed to die in this wretched forest was she doomed to never see her older brother's stupid smug smile her boyfriend?
She shivered as she heard howls and hissing then the forest was alive with snarling wolves and large felines.
Panic flooded her and she ran away from the fighting and as she ran a streek of white followed blurred by fast movement.
"Are you lost?" a chillingly calm voice asked, "you've strayed from the path and now you'll never find it."
"Get away from me!" she screamed lashing out wildly with her good arms but the creature caught hold of her arm to examine it.
it's crimson red eyes meet hers then it snarled furiously and let got of her as if she'd burned it.
"Already injured i see?" it growled, "It seems a wolf has gotten to you."
"I-i..." she sputtered but it leaped at her grabbing her throat hard claws digging in and it smashed her head into a tree.
She felt blood spilling from her fore head and throat she saw black dots and felt dizzy with fear and confusion.
"Sleep well in the morning you'll be safe... or not." it rumbled a laugh
She closed her eyes and blacked out fear weaving threw her like a needle and an awareness that she'd never see anyone human again.
