This book was a broken love story... Younger adults.. They were into cars and street racing There was a tie at a race or something another and the 'girlfriends' had to race the cars. The boy only trusted this girl to race in his car..they weren't dating but defiantly had a past together

I think they are neighbors to...he throws parties all the time and they're very loud. She's the good girl and he's the bad jerk boy..
could it be crash into you (pushing the limits #3)? I haven't read it yet but I know it involves street racing
The Secret of Ella and Micha has street racing. They are next door neighbors and he throws lots of wild parties.
I thought it was Ella and micha but I reread it and it wasn't..And I'll try the Shallow but I don't remember reading it..
Thanks for y'all's help!
Maybe I'll figure it out
Let me know if you have anymore ideas!!
Macy--if you come back every month or two and bump up your thread, you'll have a better chance of getting it found--IF it isn't found right away, that is.
This book is from the 90s but maybe?: How Far Would You Have Gotten If I Hadn't Called You Back?
"Bron is smitten by J.C., a nearly mythical older guy who lets her race his Deuce at the local dragstrip in the women's heat."

At first I thought it was Ella & Micha too, but then I remembered another book that was kind of similar. It's got the racing scene you're talking about. It's got to be
.Here's the synopsis:
"My name is Tate. He doesn't call me that, though. He would never refer to me so informally, if he referred to me at all.
We're neighbors, and once, we were best friends. But then, one summer, he turned on me and has made it his mission to screw up my life at every opportunity. I've been humiliated, shut out, and gossiped about all through high school. His pranks and rumors got more sadistic as time wore on, and I made myself sick trying to hide from him. I worried about what was around every corner and behind every door.
So I left.
I spent a year studying abroad and bathed in the freedom of life without Jared. Now I'm back to finish up high school and get the hell out of here forever. I'm hoping that after a year of breathing room, he's moved on and forgotten all about me.
But even if he hasn't changed, I have. I'm not interested in avoiding him or turning the other cheek anymore. We're going to go head to head, because neither of us wants to back down."
Hope that helps! :)
