I read The Secret History nearly two decades ago, adding it as a three-star read to my goodreads account when I joined in 2007. I remember liking the book, certainly enough that I've added Tartt's new book,
The Goldfinch
to my to-read list, but I don't remember much else about it.
I was able to pick up The Banks of Certain Rivers for 3.99, but see a different price for the rest. I'll have to check one of my other book options for those :)

Mmm, that's odd. Maybe I'm seeing a different price in Canada? Hope you enjoy The Banks of Certain Rivers - one of my faves.

I just bought "The Goldfinch" and was planning to read it for my 2014 reading challenge - that will be the first book I have read by this author.
Beth, I'm listening to The Goldfinch audiobook, it's great! I'm enjoying it so much I went to Target to purchase the hardcover because I know it's one I'll want on my bookshelf!
Oh good! I keep a "wish list" on Amazon with all the books I want to read and then when they go on sale, I buy them. I try to check every few days so the order in which I read depends on what goes on sale when. LOL
Beth, you should join ereaderiq.com they track your Amazon wishlist for you and any other books/authors you tell them to. You can even set a price that a book has to drop to for them to notify you about it. It's my favorite new website!
I just finished reading Donna Tartt's book The Secret History. I enjoyed how the author was able to create a mood, an environment and develop her characters. I was engaged in the story and thought it was well written. The book is a great psycho thriller. I did think that the book could have been a little shorter. The part where the students were engaging in drugs, alcohol kept getting tedious toward the end. I also thought the author kind of rapped things up for us at the end a little too neatly. I was totally surprised with the ending.
