hehe you are welcome! I thought it was a great idea, and will be so much easier to look here to keep track of books, especially with all the challenges we will be having.
Thanks Tee and I agree it is a pretty good idea. I give the credit for this one solely to Alondra!
Can't wait! I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone's lists :) I was thinking it will also be great for new members when they come along, I know when I fist came to the group I was a bit lost with what everyone had been reading before I arrived, so this would have been perfect :)
Michelle wrote: "Can't wait! I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone's lists :) I was thinking it will also be great for new members when they come along, I know when I fist came to the group I was a bit lost..."i think so too, Michelle :)
Wow, this looks awesome, Janie, and a great way of keeping track of our individual reading goals. It's also cool to keep track of what everyone else is reading, too. I think I might join you all.:) So will there be separate threads for each person, or all in one place for convenience?
Everything will be in the one thread 2014. I made a separate folder so that so we can add to it each year.
Okay, thank you. It'll be much better that way, I think. Also, are we supposed to list the books we plan on reading through next year, or list and edit them as we progress?
Dustin wrote: "Okay, thank you. It'll be much better that way, I think. I like the idea of adding our stars next to the book. I think it will be helpful to choose books as well.

Thankee, Alondra! That's what I thought, but wanted to be sure. I also think it's a great idea to post our ratings of each book.:)
I've been thinking about my 2014 goal, and seeing as how I've already reached this year's goal of 25, what do you think about me striving for 35 next year? Do you think it's doable for me?
Dustin wrote: "Alondra wrote: "Dustin wrote: "Okay, thank you. It'll be much better that way, I think. I agree With Alondra, Dustin. You never know what life will bring you, so I always start lower then just add to it as I go. That way you don't have to worry about making a large goal if your life turns a bit busy! I know when I have my grandson around makes a huge difference in what I can get read.
Great idea, Alondra! I'm going for 30, and if it happens I can always bump it up later.:) Thank you so much, guys, for believing in me, that really means a lot to me!
Awesome Dustin, I'm sure you'll blitz it... but even if you don't make 30, as long as you have fun trying to reach your goal, that is all that matters :)
I agree with that Michelle! It should never be a stress game. We read to enjoy being whisked away to some new place and to experience different lives!
what do i always say? "As long as you read, that is all that matters. I don't care if it's 3.25 books! Just think of all the poor souls who don't even like to read."just go for it, Dustin! All the girls are pullin' for ya!
Michelle wrote: "Awesome Dustin, I'm sure you'll blitz it... but even if you don't make 30, as long as you have fun trying to reach your goal, that is all that matters :)"Thank you, Michelle! I have no doubt that I'll reach my goal, and might just end it bumping it up to 35.*shrugs shoulders* Who knows? BTW, all the wonderful support from you awesome friends really means a lot, and encourages me even more!
Janie wrote: "I agree with that Michelle! It should never be a stress game. We read to enjoy being whisked away to some new place and to experience different lives!"Exactly, Janie! Reading should never be about a numbers game, though I do love a good challenge. It should be fun!

That saddens me very much, Alondra.
Thankee, Sai!
Oh I agree Dustin, I love a good challenge too! Hehe, and Kathryn & I have some great ones lined up for this next year!
Janie wrote: "Oh I agree Dustin, I love a good challenge too! Hehe, and Kathryn & I have some great ones lined up for this next year!"Well good, I'm glad you two have some good ones coming up soon!
Okay, everyone. I updated my list from 2013. This is what your 2014 list should look like. So you just update "your spot" after each read. Don't forget to put stars next to each read. That helps me steer clear of the crazy.. hehehhe
Kit★ wrote: "I'll try and do this too, might be neat :)"Hey Kit, long time no see! I hope all's well with you and yours.:)

The family and I are well, thank you for asking! I'm happy to hear you and yours are well, too.
I am sorry but I don't quite understand...could someone send me a message on howmto do this? Also I can't figure out how to get back to the thread I last posted on about goals for 2014. So sorry ro be such a newbie!
Kmj basically you are just listing books that you read for each month and how many stars you rated them. You can do this by following this link: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Woot-woot!! I cannot believe it is the 23rd, and I have 7 books read already! I need to get another read before the 31st! Percy Jackson is it! :D
How is everyone else doing?? I hope you all are enjoying what you read. :D
Shell wrote: "Wow! You're doing great Alondra! Well done :D"Thankee, thankee; Shell!! I have been reading some really good work, so far.
Janie wrote: "Alondra I am on my 10th YAY! Will have it done in a couple of days I hope!"
Yea!! I love when good books happen. You are rockin' and rollin'... :D
Hello everyoneI am new to the group and wondering how it works AND is the group still active; I hope so!!!
Staci
Hiya Staci, yes the group is still active. I have not done a track read in awhile though since I started working again. I should probably fix that. But anyway, in this group we do buddy reads, so you just look around and see if there is one you want to join or you can start one of your own for others to join. You can also go introduce yourself in the introduction thread so more people can meet you. Most of all have fun and jump right in!
