Lynn spun around on the shore of the beach.
"Someone come and play with me..." she whispered.

Kara wondered along the coastline at the beach. A gentle breeze blew back her long, blond hair.

Lynn felt a presence behind her. "Hey, Kara."

"Hi Lynn." Kara said softly, and the corners of her mouth turned up slightly.

Rose walked along the beach, her feet in the waves

Skylar was laying on the sandy shore wearing shades even though it was a bit cloudy.

Rose past Skylar, lookingout at the ocean

Skylar got up to his feet and walked silently behind Rose before covering both her eyes with his hands, "Guess who?"

Rose smiled. "Skylar!"

Sire walked around the town.

"Damn. What is it about me that you always guess?" he asked taking his hands off her eyes.

Roses smile grew. "i know your voice."

Sire walked down to the beach.

"Right. I never thought of that...so what you doing here?" he asked walking beside Rose.

Rose shrugged. "i like the beach. you?"

Sire accidently ran into someone walking on the beach. "I am so sorry!"

Just when Skylar was about to answer, somebody ran into him. "Uh, no, it's okay." he said.

Rose smiled at Sire. "hi."

"You know her?" Skylar asked Rose.

Sire looked down. "Hi. I'm really sorry."

"Like I said it's okay." he told Sire.

Rose nodded. "yea. Sire."

Skylar turned to Rose. "So you know her?"

Rose nodded. "yup!" she smiled

"Oh, where from?"

"our parents knew each other when we were little."

"Oh. I see, well because I've never seen her at school so...yeah!" he said.

Rose smiled. "so, why are you here again?"

"Oh yeah! I'd forgotten. Uh, well I wanted to go to the beach just for the hell of it and well I made it cloudy just for me!" he said excitedly.

Rose smiled again.

Sire smiled. "How are you Rose?"

Rose smiled back. "good. its been a long time since we seen each other! howare you?"

"I'm pretty good. My mom passed away though." Sire said softly.

Rose frowned. "oh, im sorry! my whole family passed away too."

Sire sighed. "I'm sorry!" Sire hugged Rose.

"What?!" Skylar said. "I didn't know your whole family was...you know!"

Rose hugged Sire back. "its ok. they passed away when i was like 5."

Sire looked at her. "Same. My mom was all i had. She died in the war."

"What war?" Skylar asked.

"well, my dad left my mom for another woman and he died in the World War 1. my mom went to a store and some guy killed her for her money and things. my brother left me to live with his girlfriend who killed him and my sister left me and died at World War 2."

"Whoa that's intense." Skylar mumbled.

"The war between us and the higher up families." Sire said looking at Skylar.

"yea, i heard of that war."

Oh snap. That war. I was hoping it wasn't that one. Should I tell them that my family was part of the 'higher ups'? Damn. "Oh yeah, that war." he said aloud.

"Thats the war my mom died in. She was protecting me." Sire said looking down.

Rose heard Skylars thought. she hugged Sire tighter.

Sire could feel the tears but she pushed them back. "They're still after me." Sire whispered into Roses ear.

Rosefrowned. "thats weird, because their after me too. my brother signed up to join. and then about the time they said he could join, his girlfriend killed him so he couldnt go..."

"Who was he going to fight with?" Sire asked.
