Who are your favorite classical authors?

I particularly like Tacitus, for its account on Germania and Agricola. He wrote in a very clever way, and showed how the Empire wasn't just a Roman thing.

The Agricola and The Germania

Anca | 2 comments I am currently reading "the life of Alexander Severus" and its going pretty well. I am on him because I have decided to read and purchase all the Roman rulers from Augustus till Constantine. I am very much enjoying the progression.

You should read Fall of the Roman Empire, by Plutarch. Very informative.

Did you like it? Have you written a review on it? My review is on Amazon.

Robert Colton (robertcolton) | 1 comments I enjoy reading the Letters of Pliny the Younger. He strikes me as a gentle soul, thoughtful and kind. Despite the span of time between his life and mine, I feel a connection.
