Answer the following questions based on the book you're reading now:

1. What's the title and author of your book.

2. Why did you choose to read this book, or how did you come to read it?

3. Comment on the ways the author sets out a well-developed conflict or situation?

4. What is the significance in the exposition (development) of the text of this conflict or situation?

5. Is dialogue used in the development? Reflection? Chronological sequence? Vivid description? A combination of these techniques? Other techniques? Explain clearly what the techniques being used are.

Angelica Sullivan | 24 comments The book I am reading is the The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by ann brashares. I chose to read this book because I read it before and i also liked the movie. The author makes you really love the characters so you really feel their emotions when things are happening to them. the significance in the development in the text is all of the the characters are going through their own problems and each time one of the characters has a conflict it always gets worse. All types of dialogue is used all throughout the book.

Max | 25 comments The book I am reading is called The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
I chose this book because it is by one of my favorite authors, John Green, and its fantastic.
John Green sets an intense situation being that the book is about a bunch of people who have/had cancer.
The significance is that it just means anything could happen. They could die at any moment, which John would do.
All of those techniques are used to make this amazing story.

Kyrese Adams | 23 comments I am reading Untamed by P.C. Cast.
I choose to read this book because I was reading the series and it relates to fiction and fantasy.
She bring a twist to every book in the series, from the good people turning evil and the evil turning good.
It shows peoples true motives and the reason for everything they have done so far in the series.
There is development and chronological sequence being used in this book and the series.

Superocp | 22 comments The title of my book is called Bone Deep by David Wiltse. I came to read this book because I had nothing else to read so I went through my stuff and found this book. In a certain scene, the author first starts out with the setting and slowly goes to the mystery that is the dead victim. The significance of development in the text is that it provides a realistic feeling to the story and it shows how the author uses such techniques to impact the reader. An technique that the author uses is high description when it comes to setting and realistic thinking when it comes to the thoughts of the characters. Overall, David Wiltse is an great author that brings an great story to the reader.

Luis Angel | 17 comments 1.) Pendragon Series by D.J. MacHale

2.) I found the books on a regular trip to Barnes and Nobles

3.) I like the pacing of the story. He keeps you thinking about what's going on int eh main plot while keeping the subplot active.

4. I don't understand this questions well enough to give a legitimate answer

5. There is plenty of dialogue developing the story with good descriptions of situations. The time/space travelling in the story adds some type of suspense to the story as events unfold at the same time but at different times as well, making things interesting.

Kai | 23 comments I am currently reading Tommy's Tale by Alan Cumming. I found this book because it is written by one of my favorite actors/performers Alan Cumming. I love this book because it is written in the first person and you get this very strange relationship with Tommy the main character by the end of the book. I read this book as well as listened to the audio book on Audible. It is so scarily realistic in the way that Tommy deals with all of the drama in his life and that is also one of my favorite parts and to hear it all in the first person, and to read what Tommy thinks is absolutely extraordinary

The author of this book sets out a very well-developed situation about a bunch of people who have cancer by really stressing how you could die at any moment. All of those dialogue techniques are used in this book.
