The Wand: Magicians in ancient egypt used a strange type of wand, not like the typical Harry Potter wand. A magicians wand was always curved, and inscribed with hieroglyphs. They were also usually made of ivory, ebony wood, or other precious materials. It was primarily a defensive weapon.

Example:

The Staff: The Magician's Staff was the offensive weapon of their arsenal. It could be used to control the elements, summon spirits, and launch powerful spells. It could also be turned into a helpful creature used to defend you like a snake, a hippo, a crocodile, or a lion.

Shabti: Shabti, or Helpers, were statues created to assist the dead in the afterlife. They could also be used by magicians in the mortal world to preform tasks for them, but magicians would slightly maim the Shabti to make sure they didn't become fully human and kill their masters.

Example:

Ankh: The Ankh is one of the most famous of symbols for life. It was often worn as an amulet or a tattoo.

Example:

The Eye of Horus: The Eye was a symbol of protection from chaos. It was another item worn for protection. Many amulets could be imbued with magical properties, and bought from magicians. It is very similar to the Eye of Ra which faces the opposite direction.

Example:

The Obelisk: The obelisk symbolised a beam from Aten, the sun, and was a symbol of power, magic, and Ra.

Example:

The Five Parts of the Soul:

ib: The Heart. The seat of all emotion, thoughts, and will.

Sheut: The Shadow. No one exists without a shadow, and no shadow exists without someone.

Ren: The Name. Everyone has a name which is given at birth. If the name is spoken and remembered, it will live on forever. The Cartouche was designed to protect the name. Likewise, if a name was removed from memory, that part of the soul died.

ba: The Personality. This part of your soul was what lived on after death. When you died, you took the form of your ba, which was the form of a bird with a human head.
The ba.

ka: Life. The ka was what determined if you were alive or dead. When your ka left you, you died.
