Reiko (reikohitomi) I've just finished reading the series called Dark Mirror.. Here : Dark Mirror (Dark Mirror, #1) by M.J. Putney

message 2: by Reiko (new)

Reiko (reikohitomi) It was awesome! Though in the first book, the romance was a little rush but then when the second and third was read, it smoothen out a lot. The actions involved is just fantastic!

message 3: by Reiko (new)

Reiko (reikohitomi) Yupp! You have read The Infernal Devices right?

message 4: by Reiko (new)

Reiko (reikohitomi) Same for me! Cassandra Clare really really outdone herself on the third and final book! I've always liked William better, what about you?

message 5: by Caroline (new)

Caroline Michelle | 5 comments I just finished reading Eleanor & Park

message 6: by Caroline (new)

Caroline Michelle | 5 comments And 2 weeks ago I read Champion

message 7: by Caroline (new)

Caroline Michelle | 5 comments Both of them were really good. VERY different topics and genre. Eleanor & Park is more about first love, and Champion is the 3rd book from Legend Trilogy. Champion (and the whole trilogy) is futuristic USA, and it has everything from war to romance.

Blonde and Bookish (Michayla) (blondeandbookish13) I just finished reading the second book in The Goddess Test series and I absolutely loved both of them! I just started the third one! :)

Josiah (kenjenningsjeopardy74) I recently finished reading Miracle on 34th Street, the original 1947 novel by Valentine Davies. It's at least close to as good as the 1947 movie, which may be the best Christmas motion picture I've ever seen. It is a powerful story.

Reiko (reikohitomi) Just finished reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and Wrecked by Anna Davies (:

message 11: by Caroline (new)

Caroline Michelle | 5 comments TFiOS <3 ouh that book is SO PERFECT!

message 12: by Reiko (new)

Reiko (reikohitomi) I know! Its devastating, but then it was perfect as well^^

message 13: by Caroline (new)

Caroline Michelle | 5 comments I cried, but still it's so perfect. Am I the only one that if I say in school that I cried while reading a book people give me weird looks?

I just read The Fault in Our Stars last month. It's a good one, easily one of the top novels I've read from 2012.

Kate ★ (spillsandspoils) If I Stay (If I Stay, #1) by Gayle Forman

I love this book! ;) Added a review for it :)

message 16: by Josiah (new)

Josiah (kenjenningsjeopardy74) Have you started Where She Went yet, or are you waiting a little while in order to put some separation between the experiences of reading the two books? As engulfing as it was reading If I Stay, I would say Where She Went was even more of an emotional battle, and not by a small margin.

Silvia Meadows (smeadows1984) | 98 comments I just finished reading Easy by Tammara Webber and it was soooo freaking good! I highly recommend it. :0)

I actually didn't know that it had a sequel till I reached the end, where there was this little insert of what happened next. Your comment intrigues me. I'll borrow Where She Went next time I go to the library ;)

Josiah (kenjenningsjeopardy74) Gayle Forman has taken to writing "tandem" novels, as opposed to standalones, trilogies or series, and she works within the two-book model as well or better than anyone else. Her next tandem is Just One Day, followed by its companion, Just One Year. If I Stay and Where She Went were definitely good enough to make trying this second tandem a must for me.

message 20: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay (ohnobarefeet) | 37 comments just finished "Eden" by Jamie McGuire. I was surprised. "Providence" was the first book in the series, and I almost just stopped reading half way through it. I did not enjoy how she wrote, and to me it just seemed like she was trying way too hard. "Requiem" the second book was better, and by the end of it, I actually wanted to read Eden with it being the last one in the series. she had actually gotten me hooked to find out what happened to the characters and the story. you could definitely see how she progressed as a writer as this series went on, and I'm curious to read newer books by her to see where she's at now with it. I just started Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins, but not even on page one yet so we will see how it goes. I have a two page list of books I need to pick up, I've been sticking to ebooks lately, but I miss the smell of a good book in my hands, bundle up on the couch with a blanket and my robe, forgetting the world around me. its just not the same with a tablet! ;)

Kate ★ (spillsandspoils) Finally finished The House of Hades by Rick Riordan. I personally think that this whole Gaia story has been dragging on forever. I like the twists in the story and the development of some of the characters. Bob was the best thing that happened in this story. I'd say hello to the sun and stars for him.

message 22: by Marissa (new)

Marissa (literaryhomebody) I just finished reading The Scorch Trials haha, I'm a little late on the band wagon

I loved The Book Thief too. Hopefully the movie has done it justice.

Silvia Meadows (smeadows1984) | 98 comments I watched the movie before I read the book. I loved the movie. As usual with any movie adaptations, there were some slight differences, but not enough to change the essence of the book. I loved them both!!

Silvia Meadows (smeadows1984) | 98 comments I just finished reading Onyx (Lux, #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout . The last half of the book kicked so much booty. Dude. I was on the edge of my seat. It was good. On to the next one!

message 28: by Silvia (new)

Silvia Meadows (smeadows1984) | 98 comments I just finished UnEnchanted (An Unfortunate Fairy Tale, #1) by Chanda Hahn . I rated it 3.5 stars.
