My favorite YA heroine this year would have to be... Jacky from the Bloody Jack series. She's so clever & interesting. I really, really enjoy reading about her adventures & how she takes charge of every situation. She isn't someone tough in spite of her femininity, she's someone who knows how to utilize it when necessary. Even if she can be a bit scandalous.
That was a lot harder than I thought it'd be. I wanted to say Katniss since I'm rereading HG & JLaw is so brilliant, but I'll go with an ongoing series. (:
Haven't had time to do much reading this year, so I'm going to have to go with Katniss from The Hunger. Games. While Katniss does annoy me at times during the series, I enjoyed the books and that she displayed more realistic responses to everything that was happening around her. Realistic depression is hard to write and even harder to make interesting.
Layla wrote: "My favorite YA heroine was Tris from Divergent. She was kind, brave, and overall friendly. And Four loves her..."My thoughts exactly!
My favorite YA heroine is Red from A Tale of Red Riding: Rise Of The Werewolf Huntress. She is just amazing, she goes from being a girl to being the person that can save a country from the evil that is going to destroy it :D
I really thought more people would have enetered. There are lots of good books available. Who doesn't want free books?
My favorite heroine of this year has been Riley Culpepper out of the Outside Series by Shalini Boland. She is a strong, believable character who never expects to be the heroine.
I noticed that. Could be the time of year. A lot of people are busy with the holidays. Maybe a good idea would be to do a group read together with a free book. It might be fun and since it is free, everyone would be able to get the book.
Kate wrote: "My favorite young adult heroine this year was Risa from the unwind series. I know you guys don't talk about her much but she is a really great character with tons of heart and I just think she is a..."I love Risa, she was amazing, I can not wait for the next book
