Since we are in the month of december and christmas is coming up,I thought it would be fun to have the members of our group share their favorite regencies who takes place during this time.

Something to get into in between the yule preparations and get us into the spirit of the season.

Can be full lenght novels or novellas. :)

Great idea! Here are my favorites:
A Christmas Promise by Mary Balogh
The Black Beast of Belleterre by Mary Joe Putney
A Matchmaker's Christmas by Donna Simpson

Jeffrey (chiklitmanfan) The Toymaker by Kay Springsteen. Here's my review of this unforgettable Christmas story:

No Christmas would be complete without reading The Mischief of the Mistletoe by Lauren Willig. Destined to become a modern Christmas classic, this regency romp has everything: It takes place in Bath, Jane Austen makes a very authentic cameo appearance, there is an unlikely very off-beat but torrid romance, there is a dangerous Christmas mystery to be solved. Lauren is a fantastic writer. Just ask anyone who has read any of her Pink Carnation series adventures.

Christmas with Mr. Darcy by Victoria Connelly. She's English through-and-through and who could resist this mash-up of her Mr. Darcy forever trilogy with ALL of you favorite heroes and heroines in attendance? Here's my review of this superlative Christmas celebration:

I second Rane on the Fairchild. I read [book:A Christmas Promise|1451884] and thought it was wonderful!

And while I don't normally like very young heroines, book:Marian's Christmas Wish|12387677] is superb.

I also love Mary Balogh's Star of Bethlehem which is in Under The Mistletoe.

QNPoohBear | 49 comments A Bride For Christmas by Aileen Fish is a new traditional Regency Christmas story. It's very sweet! I have some reviews of Regency Christmas collections on my blog

Jeffrey (chiklitmanfan) I simply must share my love of two Christmas stories by Kay Springsteen:
The Toymaker is right up there as one of the best-ever traditional Regency Christmas romances I have ever read. Here's my review, hoping to entice you into reading it:

The other one by the same author, Teach Me Under The Mistletoe, was recently released and although it is more romance than Christmas I loved this one too. Here's my review to this one also. Thanks for the opportunity to share these Christmas romances I truly love!

Susana Ellis (susanaellisauthor) | 5 comments BTW, if you didn't know Ellora's Cave publishes sweet romance, you're in good company. EC publishes mainstream romance in its Blush line, of which Cotillion is the traditional Regency side. Several Cotillion authors are having a Blog Tour & Scavenger Hunt February 14-17 to let readers know of our existence! Here's the link, although the tour doesn't start until February 14th! Lots of prizes too!

Don't know if anyone is still following this discussion, but this is the first traditional Regency I have written in years. Thought some of you might remember me and be interested.

Happy reading!
Diane

Natasha (oriolesfan) | 1 comments Hi Ms. Farr

Too many bks on my wish list on Amazon, which includes yours so now I've added "The Mistletoe Test and hope to purchase this one along with "Dashing Through The Snow. Your name stands out to me as you unselfishly recommended another author's book which is buried on my long Ammy lists from some time ago. Ammy has made it harder to sort our lists in price order as to price drop, low to high or high to low and also getting rid of the discussion groups I along with other people I know are buying less as we depended on recs from our friends in the discussion groups. It's been some time since I've read your books, so I've brought them back from the 'cloud' for a re-read. I'm not a fan of Goodreads due to their format as a feed so rarely participate here. Best wishes Natasha in Annapolis.
