It is now Sitka, Alaska

Awesomeness.

The day was growing old, yet the sun was still down as ice covered the streets and many parts of the water. Snow covered the ground in a powdery white blanket. People were keeping inside their small homes for warmth.

There weren't very many disturbances in the small town of Sitka, allowing wild animals to tread through without getting caught. Along the edge of a forest, a small Arctic fox sniffed the ground for a nice afternoon breakfast when it froze and stared straight ahead towards a small frozen pond. Then without a sound it darted away.

Rogue opened her eyes and looked around. Her eyes had to adjust to the dark. She realized that it was freezing. "Oh sh-sh*t! Its f-freezing cold!"

((The time is around 4 in the afternoon there XD))

"I can make y'warm," Gambit said, tackling her into a hug. He radiated heat, it was true but there was something to be said about steadfast perseverance. Not only that but he could see in the dark--well better than in Walmart, anyway but that could mean anything.

The time traveller, currently in sandals and an unfortunately thin white dress took two moments to look around in the dark, find it not to her liking and walk off into another line of dimensions. That was all folks.

Rogue laughed when Gambit gave her the hug. She hugged him back letting her arms go around his ribs from under the jacket. "Where do you think we are?"

Suddenly a stream of headlights grew bright from between trees. The sound of tires on frozen gravel coming to a slow and steady stop. Someone got out of the car and turned on a flashlight and began to step into the forest. The person stopped shining the light on the two. "What are you people doing here? Don't you know that the temperature is dropping, a blizzard is coming and there have been bear attacks here? Where's your car?" It was a female and part of the light showed she had on an Alaska State Trooper uniform.

The words 'state trooper' made Gambit snicker. Star Wars night hadn't gotten old between the men of the Xavier's Institute for higher learning. They'd even invented a drinking game. Take a shot every time you wanted to punch CP3O.

Gladly hooking an arm around Rogue's waist, Gambit's amusement didn't soften to the woman's serious concern, but he did have to cast an arm over his eyes to retain his sight.
There wasn't much he could say without the Alaskan thinking they were dumb southerns who'd walked out in the cold when they didn't know what the meaning of cold.

"T'anks for the warnin'. We didn' think we were gonna end up here either."

"What do you mean you didn't think you were going to end up here?" She lowered her flashlight some so she wouldn't blind them.

"It's kind of a long story. May Ah ask where we are though?" Rogue asked keeping a hand on Gambit's back.
"You're in Sitka, Alaska. Do you two need a ride to town? I can get you warm clothes and a place to stay."

"You're probably too humble to take the compliment, but woman, you're a saint."

The trooper scratched her head and waved them to the car. "Come on. My name is Sasha Koda, just so you know."

"Ah'm Anna Marie and this is Remy LeBeau."

"Officer, Koda, I presume," Remy piped up, importantly putting her name in a mental folder for who he'd recommend to heaven in his decent towards Hell.

"Yes, Officer Koda." She got into the driver's seat as Rogue got into the back with Gambit. Suddenly Sasha's phone rang. "Hello? Kenai did what? I told him and the others not to use their powers that way. I don't want to send them to Winchester New York. Tell Kenai I'll deal with him at home."

Rogue listened and looked at the officer. "Your kids are mutants?"

Gambit kept his finger pinching the lock pin. This was an old car. If the locks lowered, they would into the arm under the window. A cautious act from having entered the cars of too many criminals as well as a prevention of destruction and arson were Officer Koda to turn on them.

He pasted a sickly smile, assuring his attention.

"Yeah, all four of them are. Funny thing is their all quadruplets." Sasha sighed. "If you are prejudice towards mutants you can keep your trap shut."

"We're both mutants though, we go to Xavier's."

"M'eyes, her hair, it's not a fashion t'ing. Although, it wouldn't be bad to see more red eyes 'round here."

"Oh. Well none of my kids have red eyes, but Korra will be interested in the hair and eyes."

Rogue snickered and looked and Gambit.

"My hair? I mean its beautiful but probably not as nice as hers."

Sasha laughed. "That's what I meant. Korra has a fascination with dying her hair random colors, and when she sees your eyes, Mr. LeBeau, lets just say, shaking her off will be hard."

He grinned crookedly like a fool but his paranoid side was ringing false alarms. She remembered his name after hearing it once. What that a mother thing or total danger area.

He leaned forward, trying to see out the front window. "How's this lil' town in Alaska? It's a first time here," Formally, "Never gets this cold in the bayous."

"Right now, we're pretty full of families coming in for the holidays. But the storm will be keeping a lot of us inside for probably two weeks." She pulled into the Sitka Police Station. "I'll just run in, call the local inn and see if they have any available rooms and grab you two some spare clothes."

The officer went inside leaving the car on. Rogue looked at Gambit. "So far she seems nice. It seems she's good with remembering names."

"Y'a mind reader or some'tin? Rogue, chere, guess de best minds think alike," Gambit teased, touching shoulders as he skimmed by, looking further. There was always time for a car bomb or Mystique...
"So, two beds or one?" Knowing Rogue, she'd probably ask for two rooms. He was always laughing in his gut, peering at her with a side smile, knowing how uncomfortable this could leave her.

"Ah want two." She pushed his face away from her playfully when the officer came back into the car.

"Okay, so the inn is filled to capacity. I have a spare room back at my place and am willing to let you two stay there till we can get the plane thawed and ready for flight after the storm." She handed them the clothes.

"Are there separate beds?" Rogue asked, she was hoping they wouldn't have to share a bed, but for some reason, deep inside she was hoping the opposite.

"One bed, a queen sized. Sorry."

"I got 'nough money fo' another inn if you'like. Gambit could also sleep on da couch," he offered fleetingly but he meant it. "Don't matter as long as Rogue's comfortable."

((Once I get through exams, I might find better things to say than stray one liners.))

"We only have one inn in this town. That would be up to you two to decide on. But I would advise against sleeping on our couch. My kids play pranks on people, they might take the opportunity to prank you while you sleep."

Most visitors didn't know what it was like to live with Emil, Henry, Etienne, Claude, Genard and Theoren all sharing the same room on family dinners. Those guys could prank, but mostly, allot a things went missing.

"One of us, I won't say which one, can knock a grown man off his feet by default the minute skin contact is initiated. It's to y'ar kids to guess and see if they wanta take their chances," said Gambit, brightly. "It's more of a warnin' than a threat," he looked off to Rogue.

"If Ah get pranked they get knocked out." She looked him. "Mah powers. "

"Try getting z kid whose hands are on fire. But I wild love to see them get a taste of their ow medicine. "

"Hey, but don't tell them that, Gambit'd like to be safe too!" he protested, puppy-doggish, looking like he hadn't a tactic in the world that could stop pranking children from having his poor, defenceless hide, "Maybe he will sleep next'a Rogue t'night. She can scare all de big-bad mutants 'way. Den I don't have too do any work."

Rogue raised a brow at Gambit, even though she was giving him a warning with a that look she always gave when he messed around, she was smiling. "Either you sleep on the floor of the room or Ah will." She joked.

The officer pulled up into a nice house. Outside were two girls playing in the snow, they seemed to be around sixteen. The officer got out and opened the door for Rogue and Gambit. "Those are my daughters Korra and Hanna."

((This rp frightens me to leave more than the last one. But by all means, Gambit is all yours.))

The two girls looked very similar except Hanna had airy grey eyes and Korra had watery blue eyes with white and icy blue streaks in her dark hair. Soon the boys were introduced, Kenai had fiery brown eyes and Hakota had earthy green eyes.

They were given dinner and an air mattress for the bedroom. After dinner, Rogue went to the room to find Kenai by the fire place.
"What are you doing?"
"Lighting the fire." He flicked his hand and lit the fireplace.

After he left and she changed, she sat by the fire. Suddenly the quads knocked on the door.
"Sir, ma'am. We can help you get to at least Ontario, Canada." Korra said happily.

"Really? That would be great." Rogue smiled.
"Grab your things and lets go. Mom and dad are asleep so they won't notice." Hakota added. "Hanna and Kenai are getting the plane ready."


After all six were safely on the plane, Hanna started liftoff. "We'll reach Ontario in six hours. I can make the jet stream speed us up there. But that's as far as we can take you."
"It'll be perfect." Rogue said. She looked at Gambit then took the time to get some sleep.

Kenai shook Rogue awake and pointed out the window. "We're here. here's some money for a cab, a bus and a hotel." He handed them some money.

Rogue got off and waved bye as they took off back for Alaska. She looked at Gambit with a smile.
