The technology classroom.

Teacher: Mr. Bernardi

Mara took a seat in technology classroom, again not knowing what to expect she sat quietly and waited as was her way. Once people started filing in she was again ignored through most of the class. More introductions were done, which she passed on by appearing not to be there. The teacher, Mr. Bernardi, then gave a lecture about the history of technology from the wheel to the microchip and while Mara knew most of it, the technological advances in the past few decades seemed to have outpaced her mentor a great deal because she had no idea.

She could drive a car and use money, but cell phones, and computers escaped her. She had seen the machines in the stores she used sometimes although the ones she frequented still had ring registers, that is how backwoods she had lived. She now knew what those things everyone was staring at and talking into were. She would have to update herself on this stuff so she does not fall behind more. Class ended and she had Uses of power next.

Terry walks in nervously for her first class. She sits down in her seat and fingers her pendant as the teacher starts.
