This is where self defense is held if the weather is bad.

Teacher: Mrs. Wyshakpie

With very little expectations Willa attends self defense. More introductions and a word about when to use what we learn here, the teacher who's name Willa can barely pronounce shows some very impressive moves on an older student. In this class the beginners are all paired with older students who have shown a proficiency for teaching. By the end of the class Willa is very glad to have taken this last because now she is sore and in need of rest. Learning how to fall without hurting yourself is apparently step one and she is not very good at it. Everyone is packing up to leave or making small talk and Willa smiles that she made it through her first day. Things wont be so bad.

Mara loved the idea of this class. She had defended herself on multiple occasions, when she found rednecks in the woods are not always so gracious when tricked out of a dear kill.

The teacher showed basic skills, some she knew and some she did not. Mara was glad to learn anything new and quickly mastered all she was shown on her partner. There was a small stick-like girl paired with an older student who seemed very uneasy with the whole idea of this class but tried her best. Mara respected that in anyone.

The long time student she was paired with quickly became afraid of her as she showed him a few things he had never seen. Not all things can be learned in the classroom.

She worked up a sweat glad to have this class as last, she hit the showers and headed back to the main school.
